Looking at Montpellier away at lower league Tours in the Coupe de France tonight. 23/20

As for the FA Cup at the weekend, Derby at home to Stoke (9/4) looks like the most likely upset.

Far be it from me - the worst gambler in the western world - to give anyone advice, but I do know a wee bit about French football...the French Cup is notoriously unpredictable. There are already 6 non-L1 teams into the last 16. I suspect that match'll be pretty close.

I've got a fiver on them HT/FT at 9/2.

Good start!

Just laid my bet. I fear a Southampton goal.

Another spot for Saturday.

PSG are evens away to Stade Brestois, who are currently mid-table in Ligue 1.

You could get even better odds currently if you shop around.

Brest are unbeaten at home this season, in 10 games, they have won 4 and drawn 6. Their four wins have all come in their last 5 home games.

PSG have played 9 away, won 5, drawn 3 and lost 1.

This will be a close game, PSG won 1-0 when the teams played in the reverse earlier this season. Last season the same fixture finished 2-2.

Statto - how about Dunfermline to win or draw at Motherwell tomorrow? 13/10 available for that. Motherwell's home form is atrocious, Dunfermline have taken something from 5 of their 11 away games this season. They've won at Tannadice, McDiarmid Park, Rugby Park (all places we've failed to win) and Easter Road (no trouble for us) and drew in Inverness. Motherwell haven't won at home in the SPL since September 24th.

Something to consider.

Have won two bets in a row for the first time in a while. Only wee ones though as I've tried to calm the betting a bit this year.

?5 on Saturday on 4 matches both teams to score.

Bristol City v Doncaster (2-1)

Barnsley v Millwall (1-3)

Stoke v WBA (1-2)

Wolves v Villa (2-3)

That returned ?58. And was pretty lucky, late goals for Stoke and Barnsley, as well as Donny scoring with 10 men saved the day!

And then last nights fiver on Leicester HT/FT against Southampton which returned ?32.50.

Will no doubt return to losing in my next bet.

I've been thinking of this one, there is definitely value in this bet.

When the teams met at EEP, Motherwell won 4-2, they scored with every shot on target. Dunfermline had more shots at goal (8) than Motherwell (6), same number of corners (3) and Motherwell edged the possession (52-48).

The team news is neither side has any fresh injury worries.

I also looked at both teams to score at 4/5 but I'm going with Dunfermline/draw.

I'll go 20% on, returning ?259.20.

Good wins boys.

Anyone see the Espanyol game? Didn't think they could top last weeks game but credit to that mirandes outfit. Nice earner against Bilbao or Mallorca in the semi.

Still can't believe folk backing the Pars last night.

I backed a draw between them - Motherwell have been really poor at home and although Dunfermline are absolutely rotten, they had just came off the back of a convincing win at Rugby Park. When I saw Craigan had been sent off I did think it was money in the bank - alas, I was wrong. Wouldn't have backed an away win, but at 5/1 odds on Willie Hill I can see why some folk fancied it.

Waiting on Man City, Liverpool, Athletico Bilbao and whoever they are playing all to score for a win a tenner off ?1 stake following a couple of others coming in last night. Better than a kick in the nads!

Tempted to put something on the draw in El Clasico and semi-final tonight.

May also put on a couple of scorecasts for interest.

That's a bit harsh on those that did, it's easy to call a bet bad after it's happened mate.

I didn't, but some people must have seen value in the odds.
