adayinmay
Skacel wants a two year deal,Hearts are offering one. Its not uncommon knowledge. Id give Skacel a two year contract no bother. Why wouldn't we? Its not like he's 38 or something. How old is David Weir? Having Skacel at the club would be a benefit for all the younger players as well as the return we get on the pitch. Why are Hearts dithering? Christ on a bike!

It's to do with his ankle, one bad tackle and he could be out for months, it's a gamble that hearts are not willing to take it appears

What a needlessly pessimistic attitude. If his ankle was that bad why play him at all in the last two months of the last season? Dont buy it. Drylaw Hearts
I suspect we'll meet Rudi somewhere in the middle and give him a new 1 year deal with a 1 year option.
Doc Rob
I suspect we'll meet Rudi somewhere in the middle and give him a new 1 year deal with a 1 year option. Fantastic! Then we can go through all this for a third time next summer.

Praha06
According to the BBC Hearts are close to extending Rudi's stay.
JamboAberdeen
While Rudi's situation will be cleared in few days, can't see Wallace signing new contract. So far only words coming from were came from Hearts side 'planning to offer new deal' etc, indicating negotiation has yet taken place. If Hearts was serious to retain his service, the club would have acted more quickly, way before him entering the final year of his contract. It means he'll be off this summer, with Hearts just waiting for any bid from down south.
