I P Knightley

Today it's a really rather good Lentil and smoked bacon soup.

The last few weeks have been brilliant. A girl in my office is planning to do the London to Paris bike ride in the summer and is looking for sponsorship. I had already given rather generously when she was bemoaning the fact that she was not on target. This coincided with her saying that she'd be batch cooking cheap and healthy lunches for herself so I suggested that she increases the batch size & brings in a helping for me. I give her a bit towards ingredients and the rest of what I'd normally spend on my lunch goes to her fundraising page. I've had some smashing meals!

Not on this occasion - for various reasons... the main one being that this is a fine way to get convenient and tasty scran. And there are times in a man's life when getting scran becomes more important than getting hole.

You say that as if it would be impossible for my lunch to ever sound good!

Went for a roll and the only type we had in the house were wholemeal. How can people eat this stuff? It is utterly vile, had to toast it to even attempt to eat.

Say What Again

Had chicken and advocado wraps for tea last night.

There was one left over so I've brought it for my lunch.

I forgot to factor in the pitta bread going all hard after being left all night though.

So, crunchy fajita wrap for me and a broccoli cuppa soup.

As it's Friday I went for the healthy option of sausage, bacon, egg, chips and beans. With a large mug of tea.

Did you have a piece of bread and butter with it as well Taz, I have this image of you like an 80's builder reading The Sun paper while partaking of said food in a greasy spoon somewhere.

I know the reality is far different :whistling:

Greasy spoon on Leith Walk, no bread and butter and The Sun morphed into The Independent.

Middle class shabby chic.
