Would like to have a seen a 5 year deal, as I reckon it'll take more than the next 2 for Liverpool to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the title down there again. But good for Liverpool, and good for Scottish football. Yet another manager in the English top flight who's a Scot. Sir Alex, King Kenny, Moyes, Kean, McLeish, Coyle and next season also Paul Lambert. Good for the nations standing, pitty none of them are in charge of the Scotland squad. Etc etc. Heard on 5 Live the other day there were two sticking points - he wanted three years not two (done), and he wants full control of transfers. Hope the latter has come off, Comolli's all right but IIRC he undermined Jol and Ramos at Spurs. Wasn't until Redknapp came in and demanded full control that they got their act together.
