Good guess imo.

Slightly up on the last set of accounts lodged but it's obviously not taking into account the ?10million DFE swap approved in November.

The figures were posted on here last week so anyone with a better memory than me should win this, still 30M+ IIRC.

I wouldn't like to predict what the debt will be but feel it ought to be below the ?20m Romanov inherited and, with all the debt for equities and player sales, I am sure it would be if we were a stand-alone company. The reality however is that we are part of a largely foreign group of companies, who for periods had to prop us up, and one can only best guess what really happened behind the figures in the accounting results.

All became clear to me last night

Kello has been omitted from the team because he's been given a special job by Romanov.

Dodgey football betting by the POTY has netted the club in excess of ?50m and this will be announced this week.

William Hills, Ladbrokes and Sirgay are reported by those ITK to be

:seething:

Actually, I think it's still around the ?35m mark isn't it??

The substantial reigning in of our wages bill and our recent Debt For Equity Swap should mean that we are not much above the ?25m debt Vlad inherited from the Pieman.

I think Jamie has guessed the exact figure quoted.

If the ?35million figure being banded abotu is true then I believe this is a positive, only slightly up on last year - with no european football.

Sorry bud, no positives for a average sized club like Hearts being 35 Big Ones in the Red

And so the wait goes on for the savage cost-cutting of the past four years to filter through to the accounts... :whistling:

Where has it all gone - it's certainly not been on the pitch.

As far as I'm aware Mr Romanov is not a Director and would have nothing to do with the signing of the accounts.

I wonder why he is really here ???????????????

Which begs the question of why we continued to sign such expensive duds when we were supposed to be cost-cutting?

Indeed. Being ?35 million in debt to an Eastern European who has 'Hearts in his Blood' is OK...is it?

Our club is not in a very good financial position.

Whether its 40p or ?40m it matters little as there is nothing we can do about it and as long as the mad one is content then so am I.

If it was 40p i'd be willing to be our knight in shining armour and pay it off.
