it's not a question of "freezing on the big stage" - it's usually a question of getting beaten by a better team.

5 in 25+ years.

4 v Rangers and 1 v Falkirk.

:)

Also.....

In the 22 wins I've witnessed v Rangers (both H&A&N) JJ has been in charge for at least 7 of those wins.

:)

It is a really poor ground for us. The last wins being 85, 88, 96 and 04. What is frustrating is that Hibs have won there several times over the last few years. It truly is an awful ground for us.

4, if you include the Scottish Cup semi final versus Falkirk.

I've seen 1 of them, the one where Joe Hamill (I think) scored.

The season was already pretty much finished and the huns played a weakened team.

I was at the 2-2 game in 97/98 where we were 1-0 and 2-1 up and Albertz scored with 2 x deflected free kicks and we used the orange ball. Cannot put into words how gutted I was at the end of that game. I hate Ibrox so much. Nothing but bad memories and disgusting home fans.

It used to happen all the time before Jefferies, that is why he gets so much grief from some fans for failing to get wins.

Hang on.....

The Comedian

I've seen two, our win in 96 and Scotlands win over Sweden.

We have some sort of issue as a club at Ibrox. Some of the chat on here sheds some light on it such as we've always lost at Ibrox so no big deal. With that kind of attitude no wonder we are always swatted aside.

All the issues are the same at Parkhead and worse and we've done alot better there. Why?

I rate JJ highly, but his record in glasgow is poor. other than the 1-0 to rangers we've been hammered 3 times against OF this season

If we are ever to put in a decent challenge we need to pick up points and odd win on OF's patch. Csaba's teams were boring but he had a decent record in glasgow. It would n't hurt to change tactics now and again, although in saying that if our 2 chances yesterday had gone in it might have been a different story.

I remember beating Celtic this season also.

And....

Most managers/clubs record against the OF is poor - especially since the mid 80's.

It's not that difficult to figure out why.

I also was at the 3-1 Falkirk semi final and numerous Scotland games, most of which we lost.

Serious question, as I don't know the answer. How does his record against the two compare to managers in the last, say, 20 - 30 years?

Not in glasgow tho.

this is true but 4 wins in 26 years is poor. We has started to make progress in glasgow under Csaba (one of the plus points) from memory a good 2-2 at ibrox, and wins at parkhead and narrow defeats.

The players we had available in the 4-0 games against Rangers and Celtic were not good enough to win either of those games.

they were both hard to take esp Celtic defeat as i got a lift from a celtic fan that night!

hibs, united and ICT have all got decent results at ibrox this season and 2 of these teams are bottom six

I also was at the 3-1 Falkirk semi final and numerous Scotland games, most of which we lost.

I think JJ is the man to take us forward but to progress we need to take more from glasgow

Only in terms of absolute wins. I'll work out percentages later. Also we now play them normally 4 times in Glasgow as opposed to 2.

As i've mentioned a couple of times in this thread I'm a big fan of JJ. For a club of our size the stats are not good. I expected a bit more in Jan 2011 as we were close to OF and had just put a good run together other teams below us in the league have managed to get decent results in glasgow this season.

For those down crying Jefferies away efforts against the dirty two, his home record is staggering. Played 28, won 8 drawn 2 lost 18.

Not a stat I expected tbh.

For those down crying Jefferies away efforts against the dirty two, his home record is staggering. Played 28, won 8 drawn 2 lost 18.

Not a stat I expected tbh.

The financial 'gap' between the OF and the rest has been ever increasing over the last 25 years.

Since JJ was manager first there isn't much difference

No JJ 79 12 14 53 24.05%

JJ 59 11 8 40 25.42%

Though

The combined record of

Anatoly Korobochka

Valdas Ivanauskas

Csaba Laszlo

27 8 7 12 42.59%

is much better

I understand that, it's just mental reading it like that.

I think the 3 to compare are JJ, Levein and Alex McDonald. (maybe add Jordan)

Doesn't seem that JJ has done that bad really?
