I think Kello would have saved their first goal 8 times out of 10. Thomson 5 ? Tried hard but the defence was poor all afternoon Mrowiec 3? Not at the races Jonsson 4 ? lacks a central defender?s presence but harshly dismissed Palazuelos 5 ? One bad slip Temps 6 ? put the wind up them for the first 30 minutes. Regularly fouled. Black 6 ? takes a lot of punishment. Targeted with impunity by Edu, Weir , Naysmith etc McGowan 7 ? Stalwart . Good in defence after Jonsson went off Obua 6 ?won everything in the air but our whole attack lacked penetration Skacel 2 ? was he playing? Stevenson 4 ? pretty anonymous Subs Elliott 3 ? Little impact Robinson 2 - Ditto Barr 2 ? Good to see him get a run out. He?s gotta be better than Adrian. Brines 2 ? Another shocker from the Glasgow-centric ref. Let Edu, Naysmith and Whittaker away with persistent fouling all afternoon yet booked McGowan for his first foul and Jonsson for a foul no worse than any other all afternoon. Tried to get forward when he could, but meant he left holes behind him which didn't help the vulnerable defence. Mrowiec 4 ? Poor Jonsson 4 ? Harsh red, positional sense poor. Palazuelos 5 ? Not very noticable, looked reasonably solid bar one slip. Temps 7 ? First half looked very very good, unlucky not to score. Shame he pulled up. Black 6 ? No protection from the referee, got on with the game well though. Good shot. McGowan 7 ? Great debut in a terrible atmosphere for it. Looked very reliable and solid both in the middle and at the back. Obua 6 ? Best game this season. Great when he gets space to play. Skacel 3 ? Anonymous. Stevenson 5 ? Runs around, unlucky for OG, but not much to feed off. Subs Elliott 2 ? Chased lost causes but gave up the ball a couple of times. Robinson 2 - Looked fairly lost, but not much time to get a foothold. Barr 2 ? Wasn't on for long, but long enough to notice the difference having a CB playing in his position can make. Coco Posted May 7, 2011 Share Posted May 7, 2011 Macdonald - 2 - awful, too small and lacks the presence required Thomson - 5 - one of our better players today Mrowiec - 1 - sold the jerseys with ballwatching for the first, 2 more years of him Jonsson - 4 - never a sending off, struggled with Rangers forwards Palazuelos - 4 - one of his poorer games defensively and with the ball Black - 6 - kept getting stuck in and had our best effort on goal McGowan - 5 - also got stuck in Obua - 3 - won headers but cannot direct one (would be surprised if any more than 2 found a Hearts player, slowed everything up, regularly lost the ball - and another year of him Templeton - 6 - only attacking option today - but disappeared when Rangers doubled up on him Skacel - 3 - possibly his worst game for Hearts Stevenson - 5 - felt very sorry for him - did not get one pass Elliott - 1 - did nowt Robinson - 5 - should be starting, at least had a shot Barr - 4 - way out of the picture Tired of freezing out players when we have games to win. Thomson - 6 - one of our better players today Mrowiec - 5 - not good enough but not the worst Jonsson -2 - never a sending off, cant time jumping for headers and his control is awful. dont rate him any more Palazuelos - 6 - zal like performance - played well but two losses of concentration and was lucky they weren't punished Black - 7 - tried all day and did ok McGowan - 6 - he was neither good or bad, but should be at centre half rather than midfield Obua - 7 - thought he was surprisingly good, good passing and heading. still looks a bit dis-interested Templeton - 7 - afew good runs and it is a shame no-one was supporting him Skacel - 2 barely ran about, barely touched the ball. would have rathered see elliott from the start Stevenson - 6 - ran about all day, cant really fault him Elliott - 4 - ran about didnt toucht he ball much Robinson -4 - as above Barr - 4 - hopefully will start on wed there was a real lack of desire there today. it was painful to watch. we need to attack more in glasgow - get bodies in the box. i wish jj would play players in their best position Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thomson - 5 - good first half but faded Mrowiec - 3 - poor defending, positioning and passing Jonsson - 3 - sending off wasn't deserved but still very poor, needs leadership around him Palazuelos - 4 - Never really got into the game Black - 6 - Worked hard, won the ball well but no support to help him McGowan - 6 - played well in defence but was at fault for a goal Skacel - 4 - nothing worked for him today, found some good positions in midfield but didn't get the ball Templeton - 7 - constantly beat Whittaker, had a decent game and nearly scored Obua - 7 - when in space he played well, won almost every header to him, just needs more accuracy passing Stevenson - 5 - worked hard but wasn't getting anything against the Rangers defence Elliott - 3 Robinson - 4 Barr - 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not much he could do with the others Thomson - 5 - decent enough but gave the ball away cheaply in the second half. Mrowiec - 5 - tried his best Jonsson -2 - reasonable hairstyle, very harshly punished for Palazuelos - 6 - very good performance again with one howler of a mistake Black - 7 - second best player for us. Really good game but no passes to threaten Rangers backline McGowan - 4 - weakest player in the first half and gave the ball away to gift Rangers possession that led to goals. He looked much better defending in the second half with really good intervensions Obua - 7 - won every header and decent passing under pressure. If we could get a rocket up his RRs he'd be a great player. Templeton - 7 - had Whittaker on toast in the first half and a bit of luck/accuracy would have made this a different game. Skacel - 4 - anonymous and did not look fit Stevenson - 5 - put in a lot of effort, showing others (like Obua) how to chase down a ball and put the clearing defender under pressure. EJ - 3 - Was poor, does he have a position? RP - 5 - Pick of the defence, just. IB - 6 - Did his best and not at fault. RM - 5 - Looked ok at times but overcomplicated things. An expert at losing the ball and passing to marked players. One decent pass in the whole game. Lacked urgency. Temps 7 ? Looks like returning to form Black 7 ? Never hid McGowan 7 ?
