Considering how Uncle Walter is always winging about how little money he has to spend, perhaps the media should examine exactly how much money he has wasted on dross like Lafferty, and to a lesser extent, Diouf. Why not play some of your youngsters, instead of the journeymen he does.

Weir is aging before everyones eyes, and he must be finished after this year, yet they release Webster and take a guy from Arsenal on loan, who they will never be able to keep next year. Something is rotten at Ibrox, Rangers are on a long downward trail and long may it continue.

It'll all be soaked up by the bank, I'd assume. Not enough for them to do any damage with. Like others have said, the extra two games won't be good for Rangers either.

A couple of injuries and they're in really bad shape. :thumbsup

While watching that, I have to admit that I could do nothing (no mater the circumstances)other than wish them ill will :D

Aye it's funny that neither his fee nor the ?4m for jellybean are mentioned when Rangers are rattling the poor tin ??

It is a major fault of Walter Smiths. He likes big money signings rather then sensible ones. Last season he moaned about no money, the summer arrives, they raise some money from selling Wilson and Thompson. They lose many players at the end of the contract. They have a small squad. The sensible thing is to spend the ?5m+ they have on a number of useful players for the squad, instead he spends it all on three players, ?500k on a loan signing, ?1m+ on a striker who plays a handful of games and half a season later has gone away on loan, and ?4m on a striker who is very good but cant play in the UEFA cup or Champions league.

I do feel sorry for McCoist, he is going to have to build the team up again, blood in a lot of youngsters (though Ness has done well and so has Hutton) but so much more could have been done, it would have been better for McCoist to have taken over during the Summer when Smith was unsure whether he would go or not. McCoist could have crafted his team his own way, but it will be very much thrown in the deep end for him.

The defensive partnership looks likely to go next summer, cant see Weir sticking out for another season and Bougherra is out of contract.

But far be it for the media to say anything bad about Walter.
