AppleTarts
Does Gordon get blamed for every goal Sunderland concede now? No one challenging Dawson or tracking Gallas and Gordon gets all the blame. Fair enough he has been in poor form but he is turning into Sunderlands scapegoat. Simply a case of someone who is of a very high standard playing shite and folk noticing it as normally he would be making wonder saves. Pity this dip had to happen just as Fergie was scouting round for a replacement keeper. Pressure getting to him maybe?

frankblack
anyone remember his awful last min og v celtic. we all still think he was good after his zibby moment. Most keepers have a howler now and again. His are rare, unlike any number of England international keepers you could name from the past 15+ years. I remember him earning us a fair number of points we would have lost with any of the keepers we have at Hearts right now.

Denny Crane
Bruce said afterwards that while he should have done better with the goal, he puts this week and last down to a dip in confidence and urged him to try and stay positive as he's a top-class goalkeeper. Sunderland don't have a game for a fortnight so a chance for Craig to clear his head and start afresh.

ToadKiller Dog
Funny enough after the guys at the game most vocally slagging off Gordon were being telt by the majority of fans to shut up the defending was more at fault . Something that Bruce hasn't really solved since he took over . Colin mentioned the ref ,he made the Scottish refs look like the best in the world he was honking it was like he was a Geordie . Jambof3tornado
A few total arses on this thread. Craig is world class and in the top 3 keepers in the uk. Put Man Utd or Chelsea's back 4 in front of him and see what he can do. Sunderland have had more than their monies worth out of Craig with the points he has saved them. Its not even a poor run of form, its 2 or 3 games where he himself knows his standards have dipped.
