Superb performance Zaliukas - 7 - Solid but someone tell him mazies aren't needed when you are winning with 10 minutes left! Bouzid - 7 - Another solid performance but he got away with a blatant foul on the edge of the box Palazuelos - 8 - Came on to a game and linked up superbly with Shotgun Suso - 6 - Worked hard as ever but was average Black - 6 - Got stuck in Obua - 7 - For a very good first half performance. Faded in the second. Glen - 6 - Again, worked hard and had a couple of nice touches but service wasn't great and he suffered because of it Skacel - 7 - Scored and looked threatening again Subs Elliott - 3 - Not his day Driver - 5 - Nice cameo. Thomson - 7 - Always willing to push forward, some lovely cross and a crucial tackle later on. Should keep his place next game. Wallace - 8 - Showed why he is the best LB in the league. Zaliukas - 6 - Decent but occasional 'Zali' moments should be cut down! Bouzid - 7 - Solid, cleared up mess his partner created. Palazuelos - 7 - Solid performance from the utility man. Suso - 6 - Lively, though lack of playing time was clearly evident. Black - 7 - linked defense and attack well. Obua - 6 - Good holding up play, no threat on goal. Better than expected, less than required. Glen - 5 - Seems to know where he has to be, but not good enough to execute them. Poor service though. Skacel - 7 - Well taken goal, faded later. Subs Elliott - 3 - Worked hard, that's all. Driver - 5 - Needless booking, but his moment arrived later. Welcome back. Stevenson - no time to impress. Decent performance after midweek disaster. Also we tried to player football, rather than keep punting hopeless ball to helpless FWs. Still feel we need a creative midfielder to provide better service to up front though. rudi must stay Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 Kello - 6 hardly worked today Thomson -7 superb pass for the goal Zaliukas - 6 a few nervy moments but generally solid Bouzid - 7 some great no-nonsense tackling Wallace - 8 MOTM defending or going forward he was equally effective Suso - 7 never stopped running today Black - 7 won most of the tackles and tried to make things happen going forward Palazuelos - 6 good first half bit faded a bit 2nd half Skacel - 6 superb finish for the goal and an all-round good game from him Obua - 7 unspectacular as he always is, but he did cause them problems Glen - 6 tried a bit too hard IMO, sometimes he was tracking back when he should have been in the box subs Elliott - 5 as usual his effort couldn't be questioned Driver - 5 th run was great but needs to work on his tackling, there were a few nervy free-kicks he gave away that they could have punished us from Stevenson - 4 brought on to win tackles, and he did that Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bouzid - 7 - A better player than some think more so when he cuts out the rash moments Palazuelos - 7 - Good performance moved the ball about still a bit ponderous Suso - 6- Good to see the wee man back did well but tired will get better Black - 7 - put in a shift Obua - 7 - Did fine no real complaints with him today ,gave it a go against a stronger Duberry Glen - 5- Effort was there ,still to be won over Skacel - 6 goal apart was ok ,but i always expext more Subs 5 Eliott buzzed about as ever nearly scored . 6 Driver great to see him back ,has filled out more looks stronger . 4 Stevo not a great deal of time stuck to his task well . Takeshi's Tynecastle Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Kello 6 - Quiet game, and did all that was needed apart from scary flap at corner at the end Thomson 7 - Great assist and got forward well, although a few duff crosses from good positions Bouzid 6 - Mostly comfortable but a bit stretched late on Zal 6 - A few dodgy moments late in both halves (esp 1st after getting a knock) but mostly comfortable too Wallace 7 - MOTM. Often tried to beat his man too many times before crossing, but great display Suso 6 - Not much success taking men on, but got stuck in. Great flick on for goal Ruben 7 - another good display. Always looking for the ball and a lot of positive passing Black 7 - also got stuck in well, tho him and Ruben lost the midfield a bit towards the end Rudi 7 - took goal well and looked great when we attacked. Missed a good chance tho, and didn't defend really Obua 6 - Won a lot of headers tho not much came off for him. Too many times his second touch was a header! Glen 5 - Worked hard with little reward. Needs to anticipate flick ons and crosses better, as was narrowly second to everything Elliott 5 - looked a lot more like scoring than Glen Driver 6 - great have him back. Couple of good runs and he didn't get injured! Stevenson - didn't really do anything Overall it was an OK game that never quite sparked to life despite the early goal. No one played particularly badly or brilliantly. If Rudi had taken that great chance in the 2nd half it would have been a comfortable win, but in the last 10 or 15 minutes we completely lost control of the midfield and it became very scrappy and open, and it was an unnecessarily nervous end to the match. JJ made substitutions at the right time I thought, and possibly the right ones, but strangely they didn't seem to help. Just seen the goal on SSN and Thomson's cross looks even better on tv. Spot on about Zal ('mare yesterday) & Glen (not good enough) & the rest did well. I slated Suso after a Dundee U games a while back. He looked a completely different player yesterday. Great move! I think we lost the midfield when Skacel was taken off, and not for the first time this season. Even when Skacel looks like he is having a poor game, he just brings a composure to our midfielder that no other player in our squad can as he is just completely comfortable in possession. C.Thomson 7 Good to see him back at right back, can defend and importantly offers more of an attacking threat. Zaliukas 7 Strolled the game. Bouzid 6 Couple of dodgy moments but overall ok Wallace 7 Getting his sharpness back, tried to beat his man again and again though at times. (ps When breaking through on goal, try a shot now and again. ) Ruben 7 A bit better from him today, tried at times to move forwards with the ball. Black 6 Quietly went about his business. Skacel 7 Looked hungry today, should have buried chance in second half though. Suso 6 Good to see him back. Obua 6 At least he got himself involved, not a fan of his up front. Glen 4 Given a chance and blew it, for a centre forward he never managed to get himself in the right areas. Elliott 5 Got stuck in, should have played in Obua for a tap in but hit cross straight to goalie. Stevenson 4 Did what was asked of him Driver 6 Great run near end.
