Tactical genius / Csaba Laszlo (merged)

It's amusing to read about teams preparing in training prior to OF games for extensive periods of injury time and playing with ten men. Not really a surprise though.

He likes a natter does Csaba. :)

I can think of someone our manager should have a blether with if he wants to know how to win in Glasgow. His name? Jim Jefferies.

His record in Glasgow was "ok" but no more than that it was his record against everyone else that was suspect.

Any stattos fancy posting JJ's record in Glasgow. Be interesting to see how his looks.

I can't comment for all his games but I can for the 0-0 at Parkhead and the two draws at Ibrox (2-2 & 1-1) because I attended those.

We didn't attempt to win any of these games IMO. The draw at Parkhead was on the last day of the season where Celtic lost the league and we were ran over the top of with Mr Nade up-front on his own. Their gut's sank with every Rangers goal.

The 2-2 at Ibrox, we were ganting in the first half and 2-0 very quickly leaving us in a position where we had nothing to lose. Two quick goals saw us back in it and Elliot might have won it at the death. Rangers took the foot off the gas IMO and should have put us away.

The 1-1 game where Little scored late would have been daylight robbery as we were never in that game and scored with our only shot on goal.

We went for draws and got a few, each game I saw we were fortunate to get that. Great results but by god did he carry some luck in these matches, more than any other HMFC gaffer IMO.

:(:(:(

On the bright side though: after enduring a mindbogglingly horrendous run of 1 win in 65 games home and away against the uglies, he's now won his last two on the bounce. Law of averages suggests this might continue - and he's massively overdue something tangible in Glasgow too.

Could be straw clutching on my part - but throughout the above period, only in 97/8, 95/6 and to an extent in 94/5 was he blessed with a side with the confidence to go to Glasgow and go for it. Well, we can certainly add 10/11 to that list too: and however much the above is an unmitigated tale of woe, the man is completely rejuvenated and, I suspect, really fancies our chances tomorrow night.

Here's to it, anyway. :toasting:

Let's be honest though, rankers and celtic in previous years lost very few home games. Remember, Hibs have beaten both of the uglies in Glasgow this season so they're definitely not to be feared

Four trips to Parkhead produced a win, two draws and one solitary defeat, whilst Hearts secured two draws from four games at Ibrox

so he won 1 in 8 in glesga then!

So Banderson lets Csaba promote himself using techniques he certainly didnt employ while at Tynie and try to pass it off as a dig at us, **** you Banderson, f***********k you.
