wibble
There's a company (or two) re-hashing wikipedia pages and having them printed to order as "books". These books are showing up on EBay and even Amazon at crazy prices. Some of the book subjects are bizarre: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Stephen-Simmons-Lambert-M-Surhone-NEW-/270688967615?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3f0651dbbf#ht_960wt_1139 I have seem=n these for all sorts of subjects and there is no value in owning one as all of the content is already on Wikipedia. Some more details here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VDM_Publishing http://www.chrisrand.com/blog/index.php/2010/02/27/odd-tale-alphascript-publishing-betascript-publishing/ I would ask that members of other forums (football or otherwise warn members of this scam). Vlad-Stupid
$92 for a book on Stephen Simmons?!
wibble
$92 for a book on Stephen Simmons?! That's just a bizarre example. There will be other subjects that people think look OK and the concern is that someone shells out a lot of money for a book as a gift or for themselves that turns out to be a scam.
