RTM1874
Follow Follow so the Gers sing, Oh how those words have a hollow ring. When King and Country asked in need, Where were the Gers to do the deed? They played to the terraces their usual football, For King and Country they gave ****** all. As the boys in maroon repelled the Hun, Celtic played on and had the league won. A sentiment from McRae's Battalion but this sentiment is why we Jambos follow our team through thick and thin. VR should read this and he may understand what it means to be a Jambo. Our honourable history and pride have never been disputed until now. We know what it means to be a Hun or a ****, win at any cost and with no style. We will return but not under a man who has none of the values upon which this club was built and certainly not with ?38m debt.

The hearts players were the FIRST to enlist, they were'nt the only club represented, you're making things a little simplistic if you ask me.Nothing should be taken away from the Hearts players who enlisted, but let's not forget the other players from other clubs and indeed ALL the volunteers from all walks of life in McRae's battalion. This is also true. However, how many would have joined had the HEARTS players not shown the way? Both the OF, players refused to join even after the other clubs came on board, so the OP was also right. I also beleive VR needs to spend sometime with supporters ( not just a PR trip on a bus to the game). He need sto know what the club is all about.
