bighusref
Team, We have had a great run, scoring great goals and keeping clean sheets at important times. I put it to you that today was as good if not the best of the six. Away to a team that has done so well, with us missing players for the first time in said run, we concede. I must admit that, privately, I have been kinda looking forward to us conceding to see how we coped. A shan side would fold and say "ach well, defeat today" but our form has been so good I wanted our stronger characters (Kyle, Skacel, etc) to show us that a conceded goal was not the end. Big away game, when our team have been hit by illness = win. A hugely proud day folks, and at the risk of going too far, the sort of game we would have lost/drawn not so long ago. Guest John Meurig Thomas
Well said. A true test today and we passed with flying colours. In some ways it's more satisfying than beating Aberdeen 5-0, because we now know how we'll cope against a tough team away from home, especially if we concede.
