Boris
http://indiaknight.posterous.com/extremely-funny-joke I found this joke hilarious, although it may be down to Clement Freud's delivery... Anyway, see what you think.

PsychocAndy
Great joke, great delivery but Billy Connolly done that one in the 70's.
Say What Again
but Billy Connolly done that one in the 70's. Thank you! It's an old one to say the least. I was beginning to doubt myself!
Boris
That is indeed a good joke Surely I can't be the only one that's heard it before though? Great joke, great delivery but Billy Connolly done that one in the 70's. I'm quite sure that dog food endorser Clement wasn't staking a claim of ownership on the gag...but it does prove the Frank Carson rule that "it's the way I (you) tell 'em". Chad Sexington
Yep, heard it before but it is a good one. Definitely a lot to do with the brilliant dead-pan delivery. If you imagine Jim Davidson telling it it suddenly becomes less amusing.

If you imagine Jim Davidson telling it it suddenly becomes less amusing. One of the funniest parts of it is not the reaction of the rest of the panel, but the laughter from the crew working on the recording. Genius. The Old Tolbooth
That is indeed a good joke Surely I can't be the only one that's heard it before though? I've heard it before too, but I thought the delivery was first class
Carl Spackler
When he died they had a TV programme about him. He was a colourful character. In the programme he tells a funny story about when he was a young chef and his boss gave him a couple of hundred pounds to put on a horse at some ridiculous odds. He pocketed the cash thinking there was no chance it would win and he ended up owing his boss 10 or 20k! He got out of it somehow, I can't remember how. Anyway, the joke Boris has posted was at the end of the programme to pretty much sum him up. One of the funniest jokes I've ever heard I think.
