This guy is obviously delusional or really believes that 7,000 fans actually do go dressed up as seats. :o:lol:

I watch hockey addictively here. Every Canucks game they announce a sellout. When watching a game on TV there are always many empty seats. The Canucks count it a sellout if they have sold for a game the number of tickets that equals the number of seats, why is it in Scotland they only count the bums present in seats for the attendance figure. Surely whether the person who has purchased the seat is there or not the revenue gained still counts.

I don't know if NHL is like the NFL in that, The game is blacked out on local TV if the game isn't a sellout. Sometimes the NFL clubs will buy the remainder of tickets to themselves if it generates more cash from the TV revenue.

Statistics can be misleading they fail to take account of the fact that Hibs had a huge ground prior to the 1980s.

These figures are inflated by the thousands of Rangers, Celtic and Hearts fans who used to fill their ground for them.

One could argue that the same could be said for Hearts but Tynecastle was a much smaller ground than ER therefor capacity for really big games at Tynecastle was restricted.

If someone was to do the arithmatic and count the average gates for non OF games during the above period the difference would be startling.

Much the same as the ones with the OF.

Already done.

I recently examined all available statistics on Hibernian FC: attendances, league placings, major honours, floodlights, scoreboards, Dryborough cup wins etc.

My conclusions are irrefutable - Hibs are pish.
