Drew Busby !
Well, as voted for by readers of The Daily Telegraph anyway, and an interesting enough list at that. I don't disagree with the Jaguar E-type as the winner, a boyhood favourite of mine. 20 - > 1 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2008/03/15/mfcars5.xml 40 - > 21 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2008/03/14/mfcars4.xml 60 -> 41 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2008/03/13/mfcars3.xml 80 -> 61 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2008/03/12/mfcars2.xml 100 -> 81 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2008/03/10/mfcars1.xml Misses out 2 that I've always loved the look of, the Rover P5 and the Ford Capri
Sharpie
I had a Chevy Bel Air when I first came to Canada, after my Morris Oxford it seemed like I was driving a battleship. Jaguars always make me think of the long gone Ecurie Ecosse racing team. Jaguars were also the car of choice for the traffic department of Edinburgh City Police in the 50's and 60's. My only dealings with Aston Martin was when the James Bond car was at the Tattoo. Itwas doing a high speed run from inside the castle down the Esplanade. That lasted until it rained heavy one night and it skidded at the end of the run right out off the Esplanade towards the Lawnmarket.

Or the earlier version with the classic tail fins ?
Sharpie
This model Bob ? Or the earlier version with the classic tail fins ? The earlier one with the big fins. Traded it in on a Rambler Classic.
Tazio
I'm always disappointed when the E-Type comes out top in these things. For me the wheelbase is too narrow in relation to the bodywork which upsets the proportions. My vote would be the Ferrari Dino which is beautiful from any angle, the Maserati Ghibli or the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato. Oh and Bob, Ecurie Ecosse are back again. Bert Le Clos
Delighted that the AC Cobra made the top 20! Can't agree with the Citreon and number two, looks like a slightly more stylish hearse or the Jag D-type which looks like some sort of insect for me! Carl Spackler
Don't know my cars well enough to judge but what's the lad driving the Alfa all about? Impersonating Penelope Pitstop?

Tazio
I've just looked through all of them and disagree with several placings. My biggest gripe though is that they got the wrong Maserati Ghibli at number 41, it should have been this one. Bloody useless photo editors. Tazio
Citroen DS at #2. You have to consider the impact it made when it first came out. It was released in the 1950's when you had cars that still had running boards. Then this amazing futuristic car arrived with things like hydraulic suspension and brakes and space age styling. blondejamtart
While I certainly think the Jag is a classic, it wouldn't be at the top of my list. Not sure which I'd go for as my number one, but I have to agree with Tazio - the Ferrari Dino is one beautiful car!
