mac
They do it part-time, but are the best that the GFA can offer? http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/refereeing We, meaning Hearts, Scotland and our officials are a joke. Yet we wonder why we don't do well in Europe. We need professional officials on a rotating basis.
Groatallar
No-one expects the officials to get it right 100% of the time, however what I expect to happen is this. 1) games to be refereed on what the official has seen not what they would like to have seen (ie Davis) 2) similarly to the above, not to give decisions based on what a crowd wants (these dicks in the west don't know the rules)unless it is what they also saw 3) be consistent - an OF player running into the crowd should still be a yellow regardless if his auntie is in the crowd 4) same with diving and similar fouls ie Balde yellow, Takis red 5) referee all games the same and stop this nonsense about an OF game has to be different, if they end up with 7 each then so be it - IT IS CHEATING as no other games get that benefit Also ones for the SPL and SFA 1) back referees especially when the OF have a public pop at them and do what you do to Hearts and fine them for it 2) take action against the OF when they slag off our game as they are breaking the rules by bringing the game into disrepute 3) ensure rules are applied fairly regarding matters such as tickets The SPL and SFA need to take the lead on this as most of our refs are too shit scared and can't or unwilling to do the above.
