Wallace - 8 - Was very solid the whole game untill he got taken off Bouzid - 6 - Solid but nothing special C.Thomson - 7 - Some nice corners, good footwork Jonsson - 8 - Scored a goal, didn't put a foot wrong Palazuelos - 5 - Overconfident Black - 7 - Better performance from him Templeton - 8 - He will be essential this campaign Stevenson - 8 - Lovely backheel to set up Novikovas Kyle - 8 - Our strongest player, Scored a decent header Novikovas - 9 - MOTM Subs Robinson - 7 - Scored a very composed goal, did't do much apart from that though Suso - 6 - Same old Suso Mrowiec - 6 - Seemed pretty good for the time that he was on Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

His crossing, especially in the first half, was exceptional. I'd also downgrade Stevenson to a 6. Good back heel but he didn't play well. Understandably so as he is not a forward. Bouzid 6 Stroll in the park Jonsson 5 Decent first half but a bit wayward second half with passing, sure it was him that was turned inside out for their only chance Wallace 6 Quiet game from him. Black 4 Huffed and puffed, snapped away at Elgin players heels but never in control of midfield. Ruben 4 Like Black Templeton 6 Decent, but drifts out of games for long spells. Novikovas 7 MOTM Never lets losing the ball get the better of him, always willing to try try and try again, good to see him track back after losing the ball. Typical winger but with a decent attitude. Stevenson 6 Decent from him, should have scored. Some intellegent running. Kyle 7 Hold the ball well, plays in others, knows where the goals are and bosses defences. Mroweic 5 Did okay Robinson 6 Lovely goal Suso 5 Got involved. Yes we won 4-0, but I don't know what JJ was thinking about playing 2 sitting midfielders v the worst team in the leagues at home,, reminds me of Csaba continually playing Stewart and Ruben. Black and Ruben just cannot cut it either individually or together, we must change things and get some forward thinking players in the middle of the park, at no stage last night did we control the middle of the park. Ruben must only be used (if he is to stay at the club) as a back up to Wallace at left back, Black (if he is to stay at the club) must be moved way way down the pecking order. ps What about the referee giving them a free kick when the boy fresh aired his pass??? Bouzid - 7 Worked hard, did well, with the exception of his dodgy backheader Jonsson - 7 Well played in a position that he isnt suited. Good goal, although a bit scrappy. Wallace - 6 Good first half, disappointing second. Templeton - 5 Cant see many agreeing here, but I felt he was poor by his standards. Didnt get in the game nearly enough Black - 5 Was poor at times, then did some good stuff. Overall not good enough, but I feel he is harshly treated. Well played for the first goal Palazuelos - 4 Not good enough. Like black, cannot control the midfield even against a team as poor as Elgin Novikovas - 8 Brilliant second half, good first half. Well taken goal and deserved MoTM for me. Keep it up Arvy Stevenson - 5 Pretty poor in a position that isnt his own. Done some nice things though. Kyle - 7 Led the line well. Good header for the goal, a wee bit slow at times however. Nice touch too. Overall, not a great performance against a poor side. Did the required and bagged a place in the next round though. neave Posted August 25, 2010 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Balogh - 6 - Good save in second half, poor kicking. Thomson - 7 - Crossing was good in the first half. Strength impressed me. Jonsson - 6 - Decent, but skinned once in the second half. Bouzid - 7 - Won everything in the air. Trademark dodgy-Bouzid moment in second half, though. Wallace - 7 - Very good down the left flank, especially in the first half. Templeton - 7 - Good, but drifted in and out. Palazuelos - 5 - Poor. Thinks he's far better than he is, and makes it look awfy difficult to control a football. Black - 6 - Better than recently. Broke up play but still lacking. Novikovas - 8 - Probably our second best player if a little ball-greedy at times. Very dangerous on the ball. Well-taken goal. Hopefully will be a good impact sub this season. Kyle - 8 - Our best player. Constantly looking for the ball, constantly shouting. His off the ball movement is as good as his aerial threat. The ability and awareness shown in the way he drew the defenders out of position for Robinson's goal arguably transcends the quality of the opposition, which may otherwise negate his input. Galaxies away from Nade. He's going to be great for us. Stevenson - 6 - Was out of position but struggled to make an impact. After a good pre-season, looked worryingly tired after 70 minutes or so. Hasn't played a competitive match so far this season, so won't criticise too much. Wasn't his night. Subs: Robinson - 6 - Pace caused problems. Impressively-taken goal. Mrowiec - 5 - Not too much to do but put a shift in during cameo. Suso - 5 - Was unlucky that pass whilst in space (from Stevenson?) was slightly behind him, or would've surely been through for a goal. Otherwise, see Mrowiec.
