hughesie27
Original post: Hibs have set a new record in front of our newly completed stadium, today saw the first time in our 135 year history a run of six competitive losses at home. Our previous record was 5 games back in 1941 but they were war games, Wilson Cup, Summer Cup etc. Back in 1934 we lost a Scottish Cup and four league games. In 1982 we had a run of six home draws, but today we beat all records Reply: Its not really a fair stat as they didn't have the top-flight split until recently so we wouldn't have been forced to play the best teams one after the other in such a way. leginten
He does have a point. If they were allowed to play, say, Hamilton every week they might not accumulate all those defeats. And also: it's really not fair that they're forced to play all their home games at home. The wide open spaces of Hampden would surely suit their style of football better. hughesie27
The teams by the way were Dundee United-Rangers (X2) - Celtic - Jambos and the mighty Euro force Maribor.
