I watched the U17s play their first official game this afternoon against Aberdeen. Hearts eventually won 2-0 but didn't really get on top until the last quarter.

Team (of those I know)

Jack Hamilton

Ryan Carnwath, Ewan Saunderson, Scott Campbell, Jordan (Brown?)

Sam Lynas, Chris Patrick, Marcus ???, Billy King, Sam Todd

Dale Carrick

Multiple subs used.

Hearts were rather fortunate to be on level terms at the break, in what was a pretty lethargic first half performace, as Aberdeen looked quicker in thought and action. Hearts efforts were limited to some long range efforts by Sam Todd but that was about it, while Aberdeen was somewhat wasteful with several chances that fell their way.

Chris Smith introduced a series of subs during the 2nd half, and it was two of them who got on the scoresheet. First Sam Nicolson bundled the ball home from close in after a corner was knocked on at the near post after 75 mins. Two minutes later Adam King scored with a sweet strike from 20 yards. The Aberdeen keeper looked to have made a great stop but the ball spun back towards goal and over the line.

No great performances from Hearts but Carnwath and Patrick got stuck in throughout.

For anyone interested....Another set of brothers in Adam & Billy King. Were they on the pitch at the same time FF?

was trying to figure if that was Billy's brother or did FF just make a mistake.
