scott herbertson
I have an old robert burns tapestry but have no idea how much its worth. Any information appreciated. aside from the sterling advice from the previous posters I would think it is unlikely to be of much value unless it is of some historical significance - ie associated in some way with the man himself, or if it is of high enough quality to be of some artistic value (unlikely) Sorry if that sounds patronising but I know a tiny bit about this as I've been involved at work with some tapestries (argument about whether we should ahve it restored) A good starting point would be to contact one of the larger Burns Societies and and ask them their optnion of it. A lot will depend on providence - do you know who made it, when and how our family come to have it. PM me if you have some detail, but I am coming up to scotland for a couple of weeks so will be offline for much of the next fortnight
