Colin could feel his blood pressure rising. His eyes were watering so much he couldn?t see the words that were on his computer screen in front of him. They blurred together so much that they bled into each other. The voice on the other end of the phone line was very tinny, almost incomprehensible as the rage inside him took over. He mustered all his strength to make one last controlled effort to reach over to his phone on his desk and press the ?mute? button.

?SHUT UP!! SHUT YOUR STUPID FACE YOU MORON!? He screamed through his headset.

?Excuse me?? Came the voice on the other end of the line.

Suddenly, Colin?s blood pressure dropped dramatically. The veins that were standing out of the temples on his head like a pop-up book subsided and he felt a cold sweat engulf his entire body.

?Sorry, what was that you said?? The voice exclaimed as Colin remained silent.

?You called me a? a moron?? Colin felt a chill flush through his body from his head to his toes.

?No I didn?t? Colin gormlessly replied.

?Yes you did, I heard you say it. You shouted it in fact.?

Colin coughed as to clear his throat.

?No, I didn?t? He reiterated.

?Well what was that then just there?? The customer angrily demanded.

?S-Static, sir.?

?What??

?That was static on the line.? Colin explained.

?Static?? The caller asked. ?Static told me to shut my face and then added moron at the end??

?It?s said worse.? Colin replied.
