P-Dizzle
I saw this a while back, but today a friend of mine had shown me some pictures of immigrants trying to get to the United States, some of them you could maybe understand that people would laugh at if they'd just seen the picture. Others of death and desperation, I didn't see the funny side, and I told him to watch Which Way Home. It really reminded me that I should post it on here. It's an outstanding story, a group of filmmakers follow children on their struggle to get to the United States, taking the freight trains north, overcoming some pritty harrowing events. It shows the lives they're leaving behind, and the long and dangerous journey for the ones they dream of. Chasing family, wealth and safety in America. It shows a strugle that many of us can't comprehend. I'm not trying to preach, but I think everyone should watch this. Seeing what these people go through is troubling, but inspiring at the same time. It makes you think about immigration, and how you would act if you found yourself surrounded by poverty, crime and death. You really feel for the people in this, and sometimes forget that nearly 30% of the people making that journey will die, and many more never make it to America. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6XLDqsc9Ug&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wz1ipdhCc8
