Death Touch Mafia - The Goon Who Groped Me:Sign Up thread

Yes, a little earlier than I had said but so what. I plan to start next weekend all going well. It will run more like a normal Mafia game, not like my Heroes version:sad: but there will be a new twist.

 

The Twist:

On night one a player will be infected with a STD, the following day that player will PM me the name of a target who they shall 'make contact' with, if that target player is not immune then they will be also be infected by the virus and they will then pass me the name of the next target the night after, and so on. If an infected player selects an immune target then they transmission of the infection fails and they select another player the following night.

 

Each day an update on the number of infected will be posted, infected players on both sides will count as dead but will still be active and allowed to vote on the thread, one side must win before the infection takes hold of the town (there are not enough 'well' players left to win), if no side can win in time then the virus mutates, turning the infected into sex crazed zombies.

 

The Roles:

 

Baddies

 

The Mafia (Win condition - wipe out enough townies to have a majority vote before the virus takes hold.)

1.Mafia Godfather - Leader of the mafia group, immune to blackmail and turns up innocent on investigation.

2.Celibate Goon - Immune to the virus

3.Mafia Spy - While this goon is alive the mafia can search for the roled townies and mucraker.

4.Mafia Role Blocker - Can choose a different player every night to role block

Professor Prude - The stuck up scientist who wants to punish the townies for their promiscuous behaviour. Is immune to the virus and starts it's spread. Win condition - live to the end/cause game over by spread of the virus.

The Muckraker - A survivor role (aim is to live to the end) get's to investigate one player a night, if the player is unroled they can then blackmail their target into voting for a paticular player during the day. If they find a roled player they can blackmail them into using their night vote on a particular target. If they do not comply they can kill the player or choose to send their name to the cop/mafia

 

The Good Guys

 

The Townies (Win condition - wipe out the mafia and Professor)

 

Doctor - Chooses one player a night to cure of the virus, if the player does not have the virus they can inoculate them against infection. Immune to the virus

 

Body Guard - Protect one player a night (can't choose the same player more than twice)

 

The Town Bike - Can potentially infect 2 players in one go.

 

Cop - Investigates one player a night to see if they are good or bad

If the experienced players/game mods want to suggest any adjustments now is the time . The number of mafia will be changed depending on how many sign up.

 

The Muckraker (M) role is not aligned, he/she is out to stay alive and cause as much trouble as possible. the most complicated role in Mafia history, will work as follows

 

Every night M sends a PM to me with the name of one player, they can only target/blackmail each player once during the course of the game.

 

I will report back on the player's role and also if they are infected.

 

M will then be given a series of options for each possibility as follows

 

Townie - Vote X during the day, or else. M can then instruct their target what vote and reason to post on the thread, via the mod (me) - If the target refuses or squeals on the thread then their 'dirty secret' will be revealed and they will be lynched that day no matter what the votes currently are.

Mafia - Kill X or I'll report you. If the goon refuses then I'll send the goons name to the cop and doc.

Doctor - M can force the doctor to inoculate/cure him or another player, alternatively he can ask the doc not to target a particular player. If the Doctor refuses M can ask me to out the doc to the mafia and professor.

Bodyguard - M can blackmail the bodyguard for protection or order them to protect a particular player, if they refuse then M can ask me to out them to the mafia.

Professor - Immune

Infected - can bribe them by offering to send the doc to cure them.

 

If the muckraker is investigated by the Mafia or Cop I'll tell them what their specific role is.

On second thoughts the muckraker won't be quite as powerful as that (i.e lynching townies) but will still be able to bribe/blackmail folk by threat. I've decided to make it more ambiguous/dastardly by just letting the targeted player decide wheather the threat is true and if it is enough to persude them to follow the order.
