The Wicker Man
If that's the Britannia I'm thinking about - 25 years ago - Thursdays was always 'grab a granny' night.

Craigieboy
The old Waverley opposite the Scott monument is a **** hole. Had a bad experience. Complained so they gave us a 2nd stay for free. The 2nd time was WORSE than the 1st. Absolutely shocking service. Its a long story as well. Unbelievable so it was! .
Moncs
Stayed in that one in October before flying out to Florida. Found it ok. Yeah we found it really nice. Quite old fashioned but certainly not dirty. Only bad thing I would say was that we had left the car there while we were in Florida and we landed around 5am, got to the hotel to pick up the car around 6am and since I never slept on the plane and faced a four hour drive up the road we asked for a room for a few hours to get a quick nap, but they wanted to charge us full price.... maybe I was being unreasonable expecting it a LOT cheaper but decided against it and drove home.
