shaun.lawson
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sheff_wed/8440177.stm Alan Irvine - decent appointment. Very good appointment GA! Kinda weird that you sacked Laws weeks ago, and Irvine only became available ten days back; but with Darren Ferguson snapped up by Preston, you got the other very talented, harshly dismissed manager available. Incidentally - it's been said before of course, but take a look down the English leagues. Sir Alex, the Daddy of them all. David Moyes, arguably the closest thing to him. Owen Coyle, the next big thing. Alex McLeish, getting better and better. Billy Davies, working wonders at Forest. Gordon Strachan, struggling at the moment but surely likely to turn things round. Alan Irvine. Darren Ferguson. Paul Lambert. It just goes on and on... Just why are Scottish managers so bloody brilliant?

I think scottish managers are good because when a Scotsman gets angry you know all about it! Scotsmen know how to swear! Think of a West Country accent against a Scottish accent when it's angry. Good appointment by the owls though. Hope he gets them out of the mess they're in.
