Buffalo Bill
...and here's the forgotten one. Slade's 1983 Chrstmas Comeback single, pipped for the number one spot by the Flying Pickets. It's cheesy as hell but I absolutely love it. This one is for you, Mr Deodato. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSfVr0Lb1Gs

I P Knightley
I disagree with the OP. It's a good song, there's no denying, but it's not the best christmas song. If we're allowing songs that briefly mention christmas despite not being about Santa, Snow, presents etc, there's a whole load that are better than Fairytale Darkness getting a kids choir to chant the words "Ring Piece" and "Bell End" has to be worth something Tom Waits - Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis tells a touching tale Lou Reed - Xmas in February The Manics - Ghost of Christmas I also like Slade, Wizzard and the Wombling Merry Christmas. Any just why is The Flying Pickets a Christmas song, other than the fact that it was a hit in December. Nothing to do with Christmas at all.
