Blanche from Corrie- RIP

Sad news that.

Old lady passes away at about the average age for a woman. It'll have happened to 6 old ladies in Edinburgh alone in the last 24 hours.

Where are their threads?

Edna from Duddingston.

Wilma from Bonnyrigg.

Edith from Corstorphine.

Joyce from Balerno.

Gladys from Portobello.

Doreen from Dalry.

All sadly missed. RIP.

Condolences to their families, especially the grand-children. Think of the grand-children at this time (except Wilma's because they never visited her).

:smiley2: Mine wasn't. Poor old Joyce from Balerno died alone. Kettle on the stove, burned the house down. All that was left was a puddle of molten fat and some charred bones.

Where is her thread? The professional mourners of JKB are not up to the job.

Perhaps one of them can arrange to put a JKB wreath at the door of the burned out shell of her house (22, West Drysdale Street, Balerno)

Very sad.

All taken before they'd had the chance to spend their winter fuel allowance.

Dont know what she was like in real life, but she was comic genius on Coronation Street. The programme will miss her.

You might find that it was the script-writers who wrote what she said. It won't be too hard to find a new person to deliver similar lines.

I think it will.

Stick to bland stuff like "Neighbours" where acting doesn't matter. :smoking:

Main problem is finding someone with such saggy jowels they actually LOOK like Deird-ereeee.

I had heard that Deirdre's understudy is a turkey.

Her one liners were class, and facial expressions finished them off.

No sign of our resident ruiner yet, do you think he's in mourning? :th_o:

He will be organising the funeral, no time to speak to us.

No, I made the whole thing up. Joyce is alive and well and living on Marchbank Way.

****ING NIGHTMARE!

I know. A put-down asking whether you told the people you met at your university reunion that you now spend your time washing dishes at a cafe for a woman who used to be called Harold would destroy anyone!
