Has anyone here had a look at the BidFun site?

 

What a cracking trade they do (for themselves - not the bidders).

 

The system is that you pay to make bids. Each bid you make costs you between 40p and 50p depending on how may you buy in advance.

 

A bid adds a penny to the price of whatever's being bought and it also adds 20 seconds to the time remaining on the 'auction', giving others plenty of time to spend 40-50p in order to up the bid.

 

The things they're selling end up going cheap. For example, a Nintendo DSi went for ?26 which is great if you bought it. But to get to ?26, there would have to have been 2600 bids made, meaning that the website took in somewhere between ?1040 and ?1300 to get up to that price.

 

Great work - buy a DS for ?125 or whatever, sell it on for ?26 and net yourself over a grand in the process.

 

I don't think I'll be playing there!
