heartsfc_fan
Probably the most cynical advertising operation in history. The fact that so many people lap it up makes me despair for British society. A huge steaming pile of merde. Certainly turning into merde after tonight! Only a Game
I'm clearly the only one who sees the fascinating and masterful sub plot of intrigue, double dealing, spies, lies and corruption being played out and controlled by Mr Cowell. Its almost Bondesque !!! A game of chess with real human pieces and the public as the pawns and Simon as the black king. Cowell is indeed, as someone alluded to, a genius, a cynical manipulator and very probably a cold hearted killer of young babies. Perhaps not then. Its certainly far more entertaining than the current crop of fair to middling singers although it would be nice to see the only decent one (Olly) winning at the end, but only after a carefully orchestrated kidnap attempt is foiled at the 11th hour by the scantily clad Ms Minogue and Mrs Cole with Smith & Wesson 38 Specials tucked in the tops of their fishnets

Legend Claws
The level of attention this show attracts, and the amount of outrage it causes sums up what is wrong with our nation. Brain dead masses with nothing better to do than get'raging' over a money driving scheme that exploits people.

I'd love to have a closer look at Cheryl Cole's 38s. I'd say that Dannii's aren't that big, though (but I'm not saying that I wouldn't enjoy seeing the scenario played out with Lucie that was suggested earlier). boabyarsebiscuit
Simon Cowell tonight confirmed it is no longer about singing. It was never about singing. It was about making money. Hopefully Jedward win, nobody buys their pish album, and Cowell and his odious cronies (Danii Minogue, what a botox-pussed beeyatch, by the way) **** off to America/Australia. It'll never happen, but still I can dream, eh?
benny
Amazing to think that all the men who watch this only because their wives and girlfriends watch it are getting all worked up about this garbage.
Ivan Drago
I dont understand why people watch it but then always slag it off? Why watch something that you don't like? This country is fecked.
Miller Jambo 60
Utter ****e, what Simon Cowell is doing is just as bad, maybe worse than war profiteering. The idea that idiots watch this crap, is only surpassed by the fact that they pay money to pick some arsehole and his **** version of a classic song. Turn it off, press your face against the microwave. It will be better for you. Rather sit on the toilet reading the Sunday Post, than watch that tripe. Doug. milky_26
this thread has put a smile on my face, all the guys complaining about it and they "only watch it because the other half does". aye right, the enjoyment of rubbish tv and the sheer audiences that these get are an inditement of modern society, all IMO obviously
P-Dizzle
Rather sit on the toilet reading the Sunday Post, than watch that tripe. Doug. Never been a toilet reader. I personally take my ipod when having a dump, but I digress. People get so angry about how it's fixed and such. It doesn't stop them spending ?1 calling in every week. The ever-increasing viewing figures of The X factor are directly responsible for the mass retardation of the country. When this pish makes the news ahead of recent recession developments we are only going one way...
Regal Kingston
I tell you this - The kickback interest is going to seriously dwindle now that the jailbait Welsh scrumpet has departed. Now all we have is a woman who resembles big bird from Sesame Street with a nose so large she can smell Dannii Minogues mums Sunday dinner. And speaks like a simple person interviewed immediately after running the London marathon. Why did the lovely Lucie have to go? Women really are a bunch of jealous bints..... shame on Cowell for breaking her hearts to give the two Riordans another chance to make the nation squirm. chrissyd2003
I never understand why people take it so seriously. people who watch it probably cant understand why we take football so seriously! x factor is a big budget karaoke tournament, although i do think last years winner Leona Lewis is talented and fit
Phage
I like how the show pretends like they don't know the public vote numbers. And Simon will know exactly despite some low paid guy with a headset coming on with an envelope to the presenter. So effectively rather than saying Lucy... your gone.... he let's the public decide. Having watch the last couple of shows... (trade off for all the sport i watch)... It's probably smart thinking and will put into seventeen year old girls head.... your vote does count! So call next week. Or call more times. Rather than Simon deciding after your spent your hard earned you've at least seen your vote has been taken into account. Comon the little clone fan boys! At least there not pretending like they are any good at being a musician.

Jamboy81
Couldn't believe that on Saturday. That girl maybe wasn't the best singer in the world but she was pretty good. John and Edward are terrible, but the writing was on the wall when Cowell described their Ghostbusters circus act as "pretty good" on Saturday night. I thought that was pretty odd. He's obviously been told how many votes they've been getting. I've been a fan of the show for a long time and it HAS unearthed some world class singers, however this year its all about the judges scoring points over one another and i generally dont enjoy it any more. One of the best contestants has gone, mind you the way X Factor is going maybe it's best not to be associated with the show.
