Don Juan
Does anyone know any pubs in town that will be showing the boxing fight on Sat night? Will be on the lash all day for the derby, but really want to see the fight and can't see myself being home for 9pm when it is due to start... Thanks. Don Juan
Cant see anything other than Haye being smothered for 5 rounds then being banged out. Valuev is pretty rotten despite his size, Holyfield easily out-boxed him, just by hitting and moving and was robbed of the decision imo, so would imagine Haye could do the same, although there is question marks over what will happen if Valuev hits him on the chin. Say What Again
Cant see anything other than Haye being smothered for 5 rounds then being banged out. Then you may want to get your cash out. Valuev by KO, TKO or disqualification is 9/2. Personally I'm not sure how it'll go. As Don Juan says, Valuev is huge but he's pretty crap. The sheer difference in size may just be enough though. Bookies have Haye as favourite with a best price of 4/6.

Tazio
I reckon Haye will batter him soft but not be able to damage him. Then wear himself out and get hit by a big punch. Game over. And not really a great advert for the heavyweight division. A man with little skill getting through fights by being huge and hard to damage. daftie
hayes the best equip boxer hes faced so far speed an power from haye is unbelievable! chin questionable aye! but for the size of valuevhe doesnt hit that hard!hayes been hit harder! Gavsy Van Gaverson
Holyfield was robbed against Valuev. If Holyfield can last 12 rounds against the big man at 46 years old, then I'm certain Haye can do the same and then some. Haye to win on points. Carl Weathers
Can't wait for this. Haven't a clue how it ill go. Haye is a far better boxer but probably too small. It's basically a freak show! Roll up!

Dusk_Till_Dawn
What's Valuev on points? Best price of about 4-1, which is decent. Valuev's a pretty shoddy boxer but I can see a lot of the rounds being messy and difficult to call so it wouldn't surprise me if the whole thing boils down to a split decision. I know Haye is promising to knock him out but that doesn't seem too likely. My gut feeling is Haye on points, but I don't think the fight will live up to the hype. Bert Le Clos
Can't wait for this. Haven't a clue how it ill go. Haye is a far better boxer but probably too small. It's basically a freak show! Roll up! 46 year old Holyfield took took Valuev all the way and he's a bit smaller than Haye. A truly bonkers photo: http://www.theslipperytruffle.com/log/valuev_1.jpg And is this not one guy to beat Valuev? If Haye loses it will have nothing to do with his size IMO, and all to do with how he tries to box. Does anyone know if the Pear Tree will be showing the fight?
Dusk_Till_Dawn
And is this not one guy to beat Valuev? I think it's Ruiz (Valuev was beaten by Ruslan Chagaev) but Ruiz took him to a split decision so you're spot on about size not necessarily being a factor. Valuev isn't a massively talented boxer.
