TV shows used to at christmas do funny sketches and gags that would only have been seen by the staff, these tapes also included actors fluffing lines etc, what is now seen as a cheap program of mistakes. Most of them are riddled with in-jokes, so not so funny. The one I saw had guest appearances from famous newsreaders and Michael Crawford ripping the snot out of the BBC and the various characters around the back offices. That Rainbow one is a cracker.
