If they can prove the money is being spent on worthy causes then it should be tax deductable, but the last time I saw the pope he was dancing around in some very expensive threads with some tasty looking bling holding up the candles and stuff. Considering a vast majority of tax payers are not part of any religion should these parasites really have tax exempt status? In America even the scientologists have tax exemption. I don't actually think their form of mind control and brainwashing is much different to that of the Christian church, they are all just large corporations. Someone like Kenny Dalgleish who made a fortune during his career could have a tax free testimonial.
