My son who is 11 planted a sunflower about 6 weeks ago and it had grown to about 8ft with about 9 sunflowers growing from it.

During the night some low life snapped the poor flower in half.

Bet they are feeling hard today.

Another case of a pointless ,braindead, mindless act.

Not happy.

Could it have been the wind?

Good chance I would say. If someone had done that they'd probably have taken the flower with them. I doubt they'd walk up snap it in half and leave it lying like that.

Thanks guys having a meeting with the wee man now, and we are in agreement , it possibly could have be the wind.

No further action to be taken.

KB calms a volatile situation down.

Either way Doug, the wind deserves a slap.

May I suggest using the broken part of the flower and give the wind a dam good thrashing with it.

Or you could always own up :10900:

I wouldn't try and slap the wind with the mood it is in today. Its being throwing all the leaves off the trees all day and just launched a tesco carrier bag past my window at about 20mph!

A perfect description of the wind. Completely mindless and braindead.

That said, you ought to have a word with your seed supplier. Each sunflower stalk should only bear one flower. You've been dealt some Genetically Modified freak stuff if you're getting 9.

We shall fight on the beaches

We shall fight on the landing grounds

We shall fight in the fields and in the streets

We shall fight in the hills

We shall never surrender

Apparently Rangers want a minutes aplause at their game, they are concerned about possible whistling.
