I want there to be things to do aswell as possibly a bit of nightlife. Ski/Snowboard holidays are also a definate option. Cheap flights from edinburgh would be ideal but I realise that may not be possible. I like to travel and I've already been to poland/czech republic im looking to cross another country off the list. euan64 Posted October 21, 2009 Share Posted October 21, 2009 What you could do is fly to Stockholm from Edinburgh and then get the Viking line ferry from Stockholm to Estonia via Helsinki. http://www.vikingline.fi/routes/index.asp Its 36 euros one way and like another 30 euros for the buffet, but the buffet is insanely good and unlimited beer and wine for 2 hours. I'm looking into kazakhstan but so far it seems pricey For winter sports try Chamrousse in France, most tour operators are throwing in lift passes with self catered packages and a short airport transfer from Grenoble.
