Coco
I was delighted to see the team selection which finally had 3 midfielders as well as a winger rather than the 3 wingers teams we have been putting out all season. Banks - 8 - 2 cracking saves at the end Neilson - 8 - absolutely solid game Karipidis - 7 - struggled a bit in the air in tough conditions Berra - 8 - solid, huge number of clearances Goncalves - 7 - showed what he can do with a stronger midfield Chesney - 5 - flashes, but final ball really poor Jonsson - 6 - hard work but little inspiration, can't claim the goal Palazuelos - 6 - as per Jonsson Wallace - 7 - great to see him add more balance/strength to midfield Nade - 5 - lack of effort again Elliot - 7 - huge workrate, tried hard to link the play, good to see him play well Miko - 5 - didn't get into the game Beniusis - no time Zaliukas - no time Thought that it was a strange bench selection - 2 wingers on there, and only Beniusis as an alternative striker option. Nade 6.I thought he was okay but faded at end. Jonsson and Ruben 5.Both tried but i thought the game went by them. The rest i agree with.Lucky for us Motherwell midfield was poor as well.Wind was the spoiler though. No chance of a good game in the conditions today.Great win and effort today. portobellojambo1
Banks - 7 - Did what he had to do well Neilson - 6 - Reasonable display, couple of crazy moments 2nd half. Karipidis - 6 - Reasonable display, conditions didn't suit him. Berra - 7 - Played well, apart from one moment of hesitation 2nd half Goncalves - 6 - Much better than of late Chesney - 5 - The initial flair on his return is disappearing Jonsson - 6 - Better than he has been of late Palazuelos - 7 - Best of midfield, he too was affected by conditions Wallace - 6 - Offered something different, but lack of playing the position was evident when we were attacking. Nade - 8 - Super 1st half, tired after picking up injury Elliot - 6 - Not a fan of his, but he did OK today Miko - 3 - Time to pack the bags and head home Beniusis - 1 - Touched the ball once, nearly killed someone sitting in the centre stand as a result. Zaliukas - No time, which was fortunate, as he has no talent.

jambos are go!
Not a fan but I sometimes wonder about Elliott. Heard an ex pro Centre Half say last week that his strength, running power and stamina were incredible and a nightmare for defenders. Maybe we can get more improvement since he was a prolific scorer as a boy.
Guest czechmate
Banks - 8 - Pulled off some great saves, solid throughout Neilson - 8 - Calm and assured. Good game Karipidis - 6 - Solid performance Berra - 8 - Best player, was solid throughout and handled Porter well Goncalves - 6 - Solid enough performance Chesney - 4 - Decent 1st half, began to hide second half. Wasted a few chances. Jonsson - 5 - Played well Palazuelos - 7 - Yet again another good performance from the maestro. Wallace - 6 - Did well enough, not sure if hes a midfielder though Nade - 8 - Played well first enough, but predictably tired second half Elliot - 8 - Hard working peformance from the young lad. Good to see him throwing himself about. Had some good passes. Miko - 6 - Thought he did well enough when he came on and looked lively. Beniusis - 3 - Rarely touched ball, fair enough. Zaliukas - 3 - Same

I just think that both Clum and Miko are real confidence players and therefore if the team are playing well these guys come out of themsleves and perform much better than when we are struggling. That said when it comes to a tough fight of a game they tend to be carried by the rest of the team. Calum didnt become a bad player overnight and given the correct coaching at this important time in his career can still go on to be a better player than he is now, whether or not that is at Hearts is another matter. From Perth to Paisley
Banks - 8 - match winning saves Neilson - 8 - Defended well, didn't give much possesion away Karipidis - 7 - solid enough Berra - 7 - Good leadership of the back 4 Goncalves - 7 - There may be a player here Chesney - 5 - Worked hard enough - lacked quality Jonsson - 6 - Good work rate Palazuelos - 7 - Another steady performance. I just get the feeling there is much more to come. Wallace - 6 - Good effort - could do well with more practice out on the left. Helped add a more solid feel to the midfield Nade - 7 - Put in a decent shift with some nice touches. Unlucky not to score in first half. Elliot - 7 - Worked really hard. Linked midfield and forwards well. Unlucky with second half free kick.
