Couldnbt be more obvious could they I think it is that Tony sees him as 6th or 7th man for the bench, where if he has to put two U21s on the bench then Niall misses out. But to be honest that is hardly a boost of confidence for McGinn is it. Nor the young players at Celtic, "I dont think any of you are good enough but I have to stick you on the bench."
