A right-sided attacking midfielder - possibly a smart signing now, in light of the Kingston situation.

2 players for every position?

Posted

Taking previous into account, I'd be surprised if he was even a half decent player, let alone a striker.

Even though the majority of Lithuanian's that have come to Hearts have been guff, Im still looking forward to see what this fella can offer us (If that makes sense). Apparently he has a decent scoring record so let him prove himself; I know I will give him a chance. :smiley2:

give him a shot, if he can put the ball in the net then he will be better than our current options.

Considering csaba didnt want him in the first place and the fact he plays in obuas position id be suprised if we see much of him.

I want to go back to 4-5-1 as per last season especially if Driver and Larry are fit.

You pick a system to fit the players you have not the other way round.

Kingston Stewart Ruben Obua and Driver are a good solid midfield with a bit of flair.

Up front Nade as by now he should be approaching the 'fit for nade fitness level'.

We've got Black, Witteveen, Glen, Novikovas, Kucharski, Suso etc for the bench

With Zal due back next week that will leave just Eggert and Elliot as long term injuries.

:nah:

Larry hasn't been Hearts fit for 18 months now, he's a disgrace and should be no where near the 1st team.

what message does that send to the young players in the squad.

Nade upfront on his own is not the answer he has no pace, it wasn't the answer last season and it wont be this season. He's not fit enough and never will be fit enough to play the lone striking role.

Playing well against the champions of Scotland in a televised European game.

And being sent home by our current manager after a "trial".

At the time there was too much competition for places... we still had Miko, Chesney, Bruno and Kari at the club... he was never getting into the aquad then... but now?!?!

And if we dump LK?!?!

For me, it should be the managers call, regardless. Players who are sent home by the manager shouldn't be turning up again unless the manager asks for them IMO.

I do own a small part of the club actually, but I agree I have no say as to what goes on.

But as a supporter, I'm entitled to have an opinion, and that is the whole point of JKB, so I don't quite see what your problem is?

I think you know I'm right, but you don't like hearing it cause you're not very comfortable knowing the club we all support is being run in such a stupid way.

Csaba may well have asked for him to come back due to injuries etc.

So why announce no more signings a couple of days before Cinikis arrived?

It's pretty obvious it's the same old bs from Vlad. Can't believe we STILL have people in denial.

I'm not in denial mate, I'm just trying to keep a balanced view on all of this. What's the point in being blinkered and think the worse of every possible thing the club does?

I agree it looks like Vlad's work but until there's clear proof then I'm keeping an open mind on it

Surely even you can't really believe that. Some of our fans are like beaten housewifes, thinking it's always different the next time, He won't do that anymore - they never change!

No point in that. Equally, no point in pretending everything is rosy when it's patently not (not suggesting YOU are).

Fair enough. I don't think it's thinking the worst - just stating the bleeding obvious. Frustrates the hell out of me. :10900:

Perhaps. But setting aside your lack of faith in Csaba which you've made abundently clear on various threads, I'm sure you'd agree that any manager needs the backing of the board, and refusing to sign players the manager wants, whilst signing players the owner wants but manager didn't, is not exactly "backing the manager".

They work Together. Have to stand or fall by that. All the club working Together. If that is good enough in the good times it has to be good enough in the bad times.

Rightly or wrongly I think VR considers the Kaunas player pool to be no more than an extension of the Hearts squad, therefore some 'transfers' may not be quite what we are used to !

As for Cinikas having been 'shown the door' once already .............is that a fact ?

Some reports on here give the impression he actually looked fairly lively during his brief stint pre-season AND Kaunas themselves still had a European campaign to fight at that time.

Yep.

Here he was arriving with his "permanent deal" last year, with HMFC claiming he was only on trial, then subsequently sending him home.

I too own a small part of the club and if I were running it I would do it in a different way but I am not E. European so that has to be expected.

Oh and BTW I am not a self made multi-millionaire (or billionaire?) either so who am I to question his business acumen.

I don't think anyone is even mentioning business accumen, never mind questioning it.

It's his football scouting ability that I'm questioning. I don't think he is qualified to be over-ruling our manager on football decisions.

Honest, I'm not sticking up for the guy but those links don't say much other than showing the lad's perhaps bummed himself up with a claim that he'd signed for us.

Ok, they both went home but maybe I'm unable to 'read between the lines' here to find where CL said - "your totally gash...........GTF"

Laszlo has changed the ground rules. Together was good enough for him last year - what has changed this year? Kello and Mrowiec surely arrived the same way as did Cinikas. Was Tullberg the signing equivalent of Witteveen?

I don't think that the club is run in the best way possible. I would like to see it all change. But it is as it is.

If we were a club with no track record of gash Kaunus trialists being forced on the manager, I'd agree there would be a bit of room for "benefit of the doubt". But with our track record, the benefit of the doubt dissapears for me.

Who knows. Perhaps last year Csaba got enough of his own way, and was pragmatic enough to work with it? Seems pretty clear to me he's a man frustrated that his attempts to take our club forward are being thwarted by lack of support from above.

We're in agreement that we'd like to see things change anyway.

You cant claim a fact while linking a story from the daily record!!

Marius may well have mistakingly said he had signed a deal, when this wasnt the case or perhaps he misunderstood the questions or maybe even he was misquoted by the glasgow press(highly unlikely I know because they never get it wrong!).

The only fact is we never know all the facts but that doesnt appear to stop many claiming something as fact when it is quite clearly not....oh and thats a fact BTW!!!

Why not? I agree it looks like a dodgy Vlad signing but like I've already said, there's been nothing that has been said to confirm that Csaba doesn't want him here.

I'm just trying to keep a balanced view on things rather than berate every single thing that happens.

Where is your proof that anyone is being forced onto Csaba? The man IMO picks his own team and will only play players if Vlad tells him to for the right reasons,ie play Kingston if fit just vefore Jan window to get him sold. I have no proof of this, just an opinion.:hat2:

Csaba made it clear he was happy with "Together" last year. Csaba has made it clear he's unhappy at the "lack of support from above" this year. Do you disagree?

I notice also you have dropped the "Csaba is the greatest" signature. Erm?

Your point being what? People shouldn't change their signature?

I used to have "WE NEED A MANAGER" back when we needed a manager. Back when you were claiming we didn't need one.

I used to have "Csaba is the greatest" when Csaba came in and I was mightily impressed by him.

I used to have "We Need a Striker" when Csaba was going on about how much we need a striker.

After Vlads bs about none of Csaba's strikers being good enough, I changed my signature again, to what I feel is currently relevent - a list of strikers Csaba wanted, beside a list of strikers Vlad brought to our club, in order to show up Vlad's stupidity in the area of striker scouting.

And I still think Csaba is the greatest so I'm not sure exactly what you think I'm "preparing to be right" about what I "hope people will have forgotton". Good stalking though.
