A few points Football was played under electric light in Sheffield before Scotland Third Lanark are the earliest example I can find in Scotland Rugby was played under lights in Edinburgh before football Both Hearts and Hibs were meant to play 'Exhibition matches' at Powderhall vs an East of Scotland Association XI During the Hibs game there was a failure that led to the Hearts game the following night being cancelled Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
