Pete Seeger
Balogh - 5 Struggled with high balls Thomson - 6 Good workrate down the right side and his delivery is an improvement on what we have Bouzid - 4 I really thought this guy was going to be the business before I watched him play. Jose - 6 Improved as the match progressed, He's been about the only [positive of this season so far. Wallace - 6 Played well in the second half and most of our play came through him. Suso - 4 Looks knackered after 4 hard games Stewart - 5 Not his worst performance but he created very little. As captain he should have been pushing the players further forward in stoppage time. Black - 5 See above Obua - 6 Took his goal well but he slows everything down too often for me. Glen - 4 Not of required standard Nade - 5 Should be dropped until he proves his fitness. RossHMFC93
Balogh - 6 - Under pressure alot through out the game, but played ok. Thomson - 7 - Ok performance, most consistent and best player in 1st half. Bouzid - 5 - average Goncalves - 6 - Played well for most of the match. Wallace - 7 - Poor first half, but quality in the second, Obua's goal was all his work Stewart - 5 - Meh Black - 5 - Meh Suso - 3 - No end product at all, loses the ball too much. Obua - 6 - Great second half and goal. Nade - 5 - Improving?(ish) Glen - 5 - poor service so couldn't do much, but tried hard. Witteveen - -1 - Lost us the 3 points and the slowest Hearts player in years Novikovas - 4 - Not much time, had good touches and pace Ruben - 1? - Was on for about 30 seconds. Csaba - Bad 1st half tactics and didn't leave his seat and showed no passion which is unusual, sorted it out in the 2nd half though.
JamboJen
Balogh - 6 - Very good save from Collin Samuel when I thought he'd gone to far but unless their "goal" was disallowed for offside we were very lucky because he wasn't fouled, he just didn't get anywhere near it. After that he seemed all over the place and didn't get near a single cross. Thomson - 6 - Unable to get forward as muc as against Zagreb and his corners weren't as good. Are our training/reserve pitches the same dimensions as Tynecastle? That might explain why his corners hit the first man every time. Free kicks were good though and put in some decent covering challenges. Needs to learn to pull wider if Obua/Suso need to drop the ball back to him. Bouzid - 5 - Got beat in the air every time the ball came into our boz in the first half and the goal was inevitable. Some decent clearing headers in the second half. Think he may come good once he gets up to pace with Scottish football. Goncalves - 7 - Captain material. Along with Bouzid had a torrid first half but was always there to sweep up. Organises the defence well and would make a very good partnership with Zaliukas imo. Great goal. Wallace - 8 - Getting back to his best. Like everyone else had a poor first half but was excellent in the second. Beat men for fun and if he does that week in, week out he may not be here past January. Suso - 5 - Tends to hold on to the ball too long but I think he showed in the two home friendlies and on Thursday that he is a good player. Another one who will improve once he's got used t the pace of our game. Stewart - 6 - Faded in and out. Kept a cooler head today although there were times when he looked to be setting himself up for his lunge from behind. Missed Ruben alongside him because Black was trying to do the same things as MS. Black - 5 - Not sure if he can play alongside MS although he was much better nearer the end when he became more of a defensive midfielder. Shame he didn't get his head over that short freekick at 2-1. Obua - 7 - Was getting a hell of a lot of abuse for not looking interested but that's just his body language. Him and Stewart were the only two players who were making runs and offering themselves in the first half. Well taken goal. Andy Driver will struggle to get his place back if Obua keeps his recent form up. Glen - 5 - His spell under Frail and goal against Hibs seem to have made people think he's done a lot more for Hearts than he actually has. Although he offers a more direct threat than Nade he was very poor today, didn't link up with the midfield at all, although in the first half the defence just punted long balls to him and Nade despite both being better with the ball at their feet. Nade - 6 - Like Obua, gets a lot of abuse just because of his body language. He's never going to chase folk down all day like MS or Calum Elliot but he did well today in a crap first half. Was at the wrong end to see clearly but it looked like he should have had the penalty and not been booked - unfotunately our reputation precedes us. Linked up well with Witteveen. Subs: Witteveen - 6 - Did more than Glen and deserves to start the next match. Seems to have an understanding with Nade already and the two linked up well. Showed some decent touches although he'll probably only be remembered for the freekick which led to the equaliser which is a shame. Novikovas - 6 - What a first touch! The boy has a hell of a lot of potential although didn't have much chance to show it. Again, deserves to start the next match instead of Suso. Palazuelos - no rating. Best players were again the lefties. Obua and Jose continued their good form and Wallace came on to a very good game. Laszlo made the right subs although like the OP I think Palazuelos should have been on sooner.
jamboski
I thought we chucked 2 points because Nade isn't fit enough to chase down forward passes at the end - He should have been off the minute we went 2 up - Cassba was at fault for the timing of his final sub - Witeven's foul was inexcusable - In the first half the game could have been out of sight had Saints been more clinical in front of goal - a draw was probably the right result - although very hard to take
Pete Seeger
How on earth could you think Bouzid was going to be the business before seeing him play? The fact that he plays with his collar up. I've been cheated of a player.
Cupar Jambo
Balogh - 6 Shaky first half Thomson - 6 Like everyone else improved in second half. Decent delivery Bouzid - 5 Both him and Jose could not handle Duecher Goncalves - 6 Good goal Wallace - 7 Looked out of sorts first half good second Suso - 3 Did nothing Stewart - 5 Both midfielders tried but not a lot happened Black - 5 see above Obua - 6 As always great and useless with seconds. Slows the game down a lot Glen - 3 Very poor Nade - 5 Thought he did ok

Barasa
Balogh - 6 Some good saves (esp. from Samuel) but shaky with crosses at end. Thomson - 7 Looks a real prospect, comfortable on the ball and his corners were a major improvement on Stewart's. Goncalves - 7 Very good second half and deserved his goal. Bouzid - 5 Never really coped with Deuchar. Not commanding enough. Wallace - 7 Impressive 2nd half, Suso - 4 Very disappointing. Black - 5 Never really got a hold of the midfield and not influential in final 3rd. Stewart - 6.5 Improved performance, fairly disciplined and tried to get forward and support the attack in 2nd half. Obua - 6 Not his day. Offers a lot but produces little. Well taken goal. Nade - 5 Lasted 90 minutes. Showed slightly more promise than previous weeks. Glen - 5 Very average, but had little support in 1st half. Witteveen - 4 Supported Nade okay, but stupid foul for goal. Novikovas - 6 Looks promising, some decent touches. Palazuelos - no time. gregzy2k7
Just back From the match and we were very poor first half and very average in the second half It was like watching a different team to the one that beat zagreb 2-0 and looked awesome on thursday nite. To be really truthful st johnstone should have had the game out of sight in the first half they had umpteen chances and YES we were that poor I can't remember us having a shot on goal in the first half. Second half we were slightly better and atleast created something we scored twice and got the lead only to throw it away in the last five minutes by sitting too ****ing deep we invited st johnstone on us and i have too say as painful as it is a draw was a fair result. Balogh 6 Made a couple of good saves nothing he could do for either goal let down by his defence. Thomson 7 Did well tries hard and some great crosses and corner kicks. Bouzid 4 Hes Pish. Goncalves 7 Not as good as on thursday night but still thought he played well won most of his balls in the air and great header for first goal. Wallace 8 MOTM booked. Suso 4 poor needs to show inprovement. Stewart 6 bad first half came onto a game in second won the free kick that set up 1st goal. Black 4 his worst performence in a hearts strip nearly scored. Obua 4 one of the worst players on the park today,Only gets a four for scoring our second. Glen 5 didnt get any chances because we created nothing in first half,Subbed. Nade 3 Absolutely woeful why oh why must we persist with this Imposter of a football player, should have got a penalty when he was brought down in the box. Subs: Witeveen 4 On for glen why wasn't he On for Nade ? Had a Great golscoring chance in the second half and didn't even try a shot. Novikovas 6 Made a couple of brilliant runs down the flank much better than suso IMO has to start ahead of either Suso or Obua against Kilmarnock. Palazuelos 2 no time. The Mighty Thor
I thought we looked hungover from Friday for the first 45mins. Balogh 3 - Dracula. Thomson 6 - He did pretty well but is still very raw at this level. Bouzid 4 - No pace and jumps like an anvil. Goncalves First half 3 Second half 7 - Jekyll and Hyde performance. he could have been hooked at half time for his first 45 mins Wallace 6 - Great going forward but suspect going backwards Suso 1 - Rank rotten. Totally anonymous. No.23 3 - Given a lesson by Jody Morris! Actually could be given a footballing lesson by Johnny feckin Morris Black 3 - Poor. Clearly cannot play next to No.23 Obua 3 - Nowt apart from the goal. Glen 4 - Anonymous Nade 5 - not getting the penalty seemed to spark him to life. Us scoring a second switched him off again. Witteveen - Tried hard today. Showed some decent touches then betrayed his real level with the lunge. Novikovas 4 - didn't see enough of the ball

Why rate as a '4' when the opinion indicates he was 'rubbish', why rate as a '3' when the opinion indicates he was 'pish' - what does a player have to do to earn 1 (or less). Using this reply just as an example (could have been many), surprises me folks don't score less when performance opinions are 'pish' - how worse can a player be other than 'pish'? I dont think Bouzid won a single header in the first half and didn't fair much better in the second. Witteveen put himself about a bit and looked eager to impress. Had he not given away that free kick I would have been keen to see him start vs Killie.

LarrysRightFoot
Balogh 6 - I thought he played well until their disallowed goal - after that it was panic stations - apart from one good late save before they equalised Thomson 6 - steady performance. thought his corners from the right were poor and never cleared the front post. great ball for jose's goal though Bouzid 6 - not great in the first half but improved in the second. as for everyone going on about deuchar - i thought he was hopeless and i forgot he was playing. Goncalves 8 - he has came in for a lot of stick but was superb especially in the 2nd half - might get his name on the back of my top. id play him at left back though. Wallace 7 - slow start (like everyone in the team). great run for 2nd goal. st johnstone could not handle him running at them. Suso 4 - he is not convincing me. may just take a while for him to settle into scottish football Stewart - 3 hopeless - spends all his time moaning and not paying attention or not closing down Black 3 - very poor but got slightly better towards the end of the game Obua 6 - not his best game and his shot over the bar was embarrasing - great finish though for his goal Glen 4 - very poor - doesnt look like he can play as a second striker Nade 5 - tried hard but could barely move near the end. should have had a penalty. Witeveen 4 - i thought he was doing quite well until that stupid tackle Novi 5 - what a first touch - if he just had a bit more confidence to go at players he could be something special Ruben - cant give a mark as he wasnt on long enough to touch the ball - though i dont think we would have been as shambolic in the centre of the park if he had started
