May I suggest you check FirstScotrail's own website.

There are alot of engineering works over the weekends between now and August on that line and replacement buses will be in place. Apart from the first bus in the morning and the last bus at night which will both start from Edinburgh Waverley. All the rest will start and terminate in the Car Park of Haymarket station.

Taking from the website:

Track improvements and maintenance are taking place from 00:01 on 27/06/09 to 23:59 on 28/06/09 between Edinburgh and Bathgate.

All Edinburgh/Bathgate services are withdrawn. A replacement bus service will operate between Haymarket and Bathgate calling at Edinburgh Park, Uphall and Livingston North with the exception of the first and last services where buses will operate between Edinburgh and Bathgate. As a result some trains may be altered causing extended journey times. Further Information is available from the National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.
