Marmeladent?rtchen Posted June 7, 2009 Share Posted June 7, 2009 Can anyone help me with an iPod issue I have. For some reason my iPod does not show up in iTunes or in 'MyComputer'. It does appears when I look in the computer services section of VISTA when plugged in. I have plugged my mates iPod in to my laptop and it appears with out issue. I have then plugged my iPod in to his computer and it seen without any issue. I have given another mate my iPod and he did a firmware update on his apple computer and said there was nothing wrong. I have tried all the USB ports, installed the latest version of iTunes, gone through lots of other web forums for ideas on how to fix but nothing has worked. I can only deduce that there is an issue between my iPod and my computer! Anyone got an ideas on what to do?? Would really appreciate some support! Just found the soultion!! jmaynard05-13-2007, 04:30 PM I had the same problem (and the Apple store in London could synch without any error messages); the problem is (probably) that your PC has another device on the same drive letter as your Ipod. My Ipod was set to load as drive M: then something else set itself as M: and all those nasty messages appeared... Solution: dock your Ipod; open Administrative Tools/Computer Management/Disk Management and find your ipod; right click and select Change Drive Letter - I chose Z: and after that all is well... Hambone Posted June 8, 2009 Share Posted June 8, 2009 Go for the new samsung i8910 HD I just got one from Phone 4 U. ?45 2 Year Contract from orange.Ra**** 45 1200 mins 500 text +unlimted landline mins,internet and free orange maps. Phones 4 u,?35 18 Months.(sort of) I got it while on hols for a couple of days last week in Bounemounth. I went in told the guy the phone i wanted and did not want to pay any more than the ?35 i pay to t-mobile at the mo. He gave me a ?5 discount and month straight off which i think makes it a 18 month contract and then asked if i wanted to trade my old phone in to bring the month cost down,Ok,he offered me ?40. I still thought it was i bit high,after a coulpe of chats with the mananger they gave me ?90 cash for my phone which in their terminology works out at ?5 a month bringing the cost to ?35 a month.Done Deal.
