Wings is a great one, but I like 'Nobody Does It Better' by Carly Simon? (there's also a good live Radiohead cover)

Buffalo Bill
Theme from OHMSS

Is that the Lois Armstrong?

My own favourite is Duran Duran. Great 80s song, with top ponce Simon Le Bon Bon prancing around, with frilly neck scarf singing "Dance - into the Fi-ire".

Although I didn't half have a 'mare at Live Aid.

Buffalo Bill

For me, it can only be something by John Barry.

And not a theme song, but either the growing sense of menace in incidental music as a capsule is swallowed up in space during You Only Live Twice....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08qqvuBGgJY

or the theme accompanying the dawn raid on Fort Knox from Goldfinger...

Magical....

Absolutely - it is indeed, of course, all about John Barry. :2thumbsup:

i actually love most bond themes cos there is always something about them, be it the voice, the production, the lyrics....

in recent years though, the best theme tune that never was is this

this song was relegated to the end credits and the main theme was given to sheryl crow

love or hate her, kd lang has a great voice though

jambos are go!

don't like it as a song but Live and Let die is a tremendous tune when heard as an instrumental. Goldfinger is a is a brilliantly contrived theme tune perfect for Shirley Bassey.

Goldeneye - Tina Turner

The World is Not Enough - Garbage

Tomorrow Never Dies - Cheryl Crow

All top tunes.

A View to a Kill is also very good.

I've always hated the original of Live And Let Die. The GnR version just destroys it. One of those rare instances if a cover beasting the original.

If we're talking Bond themes though, Nobody Does It Better, easilly!

THis one for me!!!

Just shows how subjective a person?s taste in music is, I think that it?s the worst Bond theme ever! Even worse than the crappy Gladys Knight one. It's horrendous.

My choice ? Thunderball by Tom Jones.

If you are talking about David Arnold's Shaken and Stirred album, you cannot go much better than....

or this, which was removed at Bjork's behest as far as I am aware.

Nah, not the Leftfield tune, the one from the album Deskanddrumsandrockandroll (or something like that anyway)

If you listen to this in the car you definitely drive faster. It's impossible not to.

Anyway, that album had the tune they used in the Matrix on it and the Shirley Bassey job that Graham Norton used to use for his show. It's pretty much a modern classic.

Edit: sorry Husref, I see it was on that album as well. I missed your point completely.
