Looking to book a weekend for the missus and our kids, somewhere with facilities like swimming pool etc, have been looking at Hilton coylumbridge? Anyone been or recommend somewhere similar?

Cheers.

WagonWheel

Try the Fairmont St. Andrews.

It's not cheap, but it's a great hotel, staff very helpful, superb food, nice pool and overall very child-friendly. Plus St Andrews is quite a good place to wander round and there is the beach, aquarium and Scottish Deer centre nearby.

Crieff Hydro?

Went for a week last summer and going again this summer. Very plush, good facilities, great food, brilliant grounds.

Seconded

I love Crieff Hydro... lots to do whatever the weather. You can usually get excellent last minute deals. Not too far a drive either from Edinburgh.

I like to drive to Killin from there also.

Civil Jambo

On the Isle of Arran....if you have not been its a great place and it has three options on the resort....

There is the Spa which is very family orientated

and then The House Hotel more for couples

and finally the country club which is self catering lodges

loads of facilities and only a short ferry ride away

Also forgot to add there is a local brewery and whiskey distillery for you and a place called Arran aromatics (Ladies soaps and stuff) for your misses on the island
