Was thinking of getting a second job.

Does anyone know who the best people to contact are re paying tax and national insurance on this extra income?

Any website address' or phone numbers would be appreciated.

I am assuming you will be employed rather than self employed. If so you would normally pay basic rate tax on your second job - 20p on every ?1 earned. Your main job will carry your personal tax free allowance. If your combined earnings less your tax free allowance (?6475 for most people) are above ?37,400 the portion above ?37,400 is taxed at 40%.

NI is charged on each job separately unless your second income is with the same employer. If you earn less than ?95 per week in either job, you will not pay any NI on that income.

Good advice on:

or

or alternatively you can PM me.
