the SPL say that the Derby was brought forward to avoid local events

I see that Edinburgh V Newport Gwent Dragons, on the 8th of May.

Is this the local event that has made those wonderful SPL people change our derby to a THURSDAY EVENING?????

Weegie derby on the Saturday and rugby cup finals at Murrayfield on the Sunday. Can't see why we can't play on the Saturday imo. All the above courtesy of Chick Dung

No excuse as that will get crowd of 10 to 15 thousand max and we have played plenty of matches prior to rugby games at Murrayfield just 30 mins to 1 hour kick off later -- this is just an excuse for TV and SPL to try and trigger an exciting finish -- what about all those people who work late midweek and cannot arrange Thursday cover -- seems we not only get the longest away trip midweek but also the dubious pleasure of playing the infirm away (both) as well as another midweek game -- of course this was all computer controlled you know. :smash:
