Their life together sounds like a right bundle of joy. An old couple used to come drinking in my local, the old woman at times would chew her fella's ear off (normally about his drinking but then would cover a range of topics, all his fault in her opinion). A mate noticed that the old fella would wait until his Mrs went to the loo mid rant & then turn his hearing aid down. He'd then sit & nod his head while she vented her anger only turning it back up when he went to get the next round and she stopped nagging.
