slfjambo
http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/soccer/artikel.php?ID=157908 CREDIBLE information from an impeccable source has hinted 90 Minutes that Black Stars and Heart of Midlothian midfielder, Laryea Kingston could lose his Black Stars place when the World/Nations Cup qualifiers gets underway next month. The source disclosed that the national team handlers have not been impressed with the player's recent performances and attitude and are allegedly contemplating looking for his replacement before the first qualifying game gets underway next month. According to our source, the technical team are believed to be seeking the support of the FA before implementing their decision. The source told us: ?Milovan and his technical team are not happy with the recent performances of Laryea and his lifestyle off the pitch and are therefore having second thoughts about him before Ghana plays Benin. He has done very little to convince them of his readiness and fitness levels and so they don't want to take any risks in starting him any longer. They think his work rate has sunk very low and that gives much problems to the lateral defenders who have to work extra hard to cover for him,? the source added. ?After the Egypt game last Wednesday, they discussed with the FA officials hoping to get the necessary backing because Laryea is gradually losing form and this is not the time to risk anything.? Laryea's performance has in recent times been relatively poor because of a distressing knee problem but it's believed he doesn't want to be operated upon for fear of losing his place in the national team during the qualifiers. stevie
Hopefully this will give him the boot up the erse he needs.Kingston back to his best would be a huge boost in our chase for third place.
cosanostra
Hopefully this will convince him that his future lies elsewhere. If we manage to get this little a-hole sold for a decent price, we might be abe to keep Kari, Bruno or Driver.

topcat
He may think he's showing commitment by playing on through injury but he's not doing us, Ghana or himself any favours in the long term.
redm
In a weird way it's almost a relief to find out that we're not the only ones to have been treated like crap by him lately. A wee wake-up call would do him no harm, nor would it work to the detriment of Hearts or the Ghana national team I suppose.... On another hand, I wonder what the heck he's been getting up to? What's this 'lifestyle off the pitch' stuff all about?
Jambof3tornado
You would imagine that this should be enough to get him to move up a gear on the playing and attitude front, heres hoping so,for a decent playing Larry can help us both in the race for europe and in getting a better fee for him,coz his recent performances would bring us in about 86p. I'm not trying to make a more exciting story out of this but it definitely sounds like his intentions might not have been quite as good as all that. I'm sure there's some misplaced commitment, but I also get a distinct whiff of mischief.

Optimus Prime
Ideal scenario is that this gives him a boot up the backside and he starts to perform for us for the rest of the season, helps us to third place then we sell him for a decent price in the summer. jambojim52
Never been able to understand football players. They want a move but don't play well enough to attract attention. Then when a new contract comes along they play out of their skin to get a new deal. If you want away larry show some commitment on and off the park. I have to say I liked Larry when he arrived and looked like a player, but for too long now he has been lazy and off form. Come on Larry show us we are wrong and get working for that dream move. I suspect that the lazy little (albeit talented) tosser doesn't know the meaning of the word commitment.

tnop
Agreed. Kingston's only good when he wants to be, he's lazy, and injured most of the time. And there's no way he merits 15k per week.
