brellierlegend
Dream team not the right words to use. A more realistic team for next season may be:- ---------------Balogh------------- Neilson Jonsson Klimavicius Wallace ----------------Black--------------- ----------Stewart Aguiar---------- Obua------------------------Driver ---------------Martin-------------- The clear question marks here are will we sign Elsen Martin. He is able to sign a pre contract now so I don't understand why we just dont wrap it up now instead of waiting. Secondly, will we sign Klimavicius. If we do I reckon he could be a regular next season. Thirdly will Neilson and Bruno sign new contracts. Hopefully we can qualify for the "Europa League" and intice Bruno to sign on again. Finally, will we be able to keep Driver. Most probably not but I put him in anyway!

Even if it ment him going in DMC and Black going in CM meaning Stewart got punted. .From what i have seen of jonsson in that role, i still don't believe CB to be his best postion, just for example he was caught out with a long ball over the top leading to mackies goal... .If 4-5-1 then why no Nade? Brick Tamland
Assuming the choice is from the current squad with nobody in or out. 4-4-2 Balogh Neilson Jonsonn - ball winning centre half role Karipidis - old fashioned sweeper role Wallace Midfield playing in a diamond formation Right Mid Obua Left Mid Driver Holding Mid Stewart Attacking Mid Aguiar Twin strikers Nade and depending who we were playing either Tullberg, Glen or Templeton Glen or Templeton where we can exploit their pace and passes into channels and balls over the top. Tullberg if we need a bit muscle and to get on the end of crosses from Obua and Driver So when we attack we have two centre backs in defence, Stewart centre of park the full backs in the old wing half position Obua and Driver wide to attack the back post, the strikers lurking in the box and Bruno at the edge of the box ready to smack anything into the back of the net that comes out to him... DETTY29
who is this martin guy? Turkish guy who is with a club in Spain. Is consistently injured with a quite poor disciplinary record, I believe - yellows not red. If we sign him, there is as much chance of us getting a fit season out of him as paying the money for Barr/Arfield. We can surmise all we want on what we would like the team to look like, but the most critical element of any success is the continuance of a proper football club manger and the owner hopefully continuing to not cross the boundaries. That's all I'm wishing for just now. (PS - This Darren Barr thing is getting very boring)

combo74
Whats your dream team for next season..?mine is Balough Jonsson Barr Zaliukas Wallace Arfield Dorman Black Obua Martin Glen Bottom 6 without a doubt. A lot depends on the "clearout" in the summer. Of the players out of contract I would like to see us retain, as a minimum, Karapidis, Aguair and Nade. Along with Balough that would give is a pretty good spine. With Jonnson and Wallace in the full back positions, Black in the middle and Obua (on Saturdays form) on 1 of the flanks, that only leaves us looking for another winger, a centre half and an good forward. Barr may be an option at Centre Half or Russell Anderson. The Lithuanian who is on trial may also prove to be a good player (He has a decent pedigree). Over the remainder of the season Glen may prove to be the second striker, however I think we also need to bring in a target man/goalscorer. Being realistic this is either going to be a player from a bigger club who isn't getting a game, a goalscorer from a smaller nation/team in eastern europe or a goalscorer from English Legue 1 or 2. Martin may be the answer. Assuming Kingston and Driver leave we still have Miko or Chesney as options on the flank, however I think we could do with freshening up that position (I have no real candidates in mind - can templeton play on the flanks) Assuming 442 Balough Jonnson Karapdis ANother (Barr or Anderson) Wallace Aguair Black Obua ANother Nade ANother (Martin or Glen) Backup: Miko Chesney Zaliukas Templeton Ruben My only concern about the above team is it may be a bit lightweight in midfield, thats why I think we need a dominant centre half. I cannot recall him ever playing on the right midfield/wing, not that I watch Caley every week. No using Championship Manager as evidence to show he can play on the right now. He has played on the right for ICT. I would agree that midfield would be his strongest position, however I wonder where Laszlo sees him playing. Remember, this is a manager that has played a defender in midfield all season and a midfielder at left back, right back, centre half and centre forward. Championship Manager eh! Reason Karipidis not in team is because I think he will leave in the summer. I am pretty sure he is on a big salary and there seems to be no talk of renewing like there has been with Aguiar. Obviously if we could keep him that would be great. I also like Nade but this team was based more around what I think we will look like next yr and not how I would want it in an ideal world. I feel Csaba thinks that whilst Nade has improved he doesnt get enough goals. Also I think Csaba sees Eggert as more of a defender than a midfielder. Therefore he could be deployed as a full back if Neilson leaves but I reckon we may see him play as a centre half. Again I do not know how good Klimavicius will be but I reckon if we do keep him he will play regularly next season.

Martin_T
People seem to think it's a gimme that Kingston and Nade will leave. I would again point out that given both are contracted for next season, both are on decent money and we had the square root of feck all offers for them in the January window. Why therefore is it likely they will leave? Similarly who is going to put a bid in for Stewart? Of the out of contract players, Neilson should be priority no.1 for re-signing and should continue with his role as club captain. This leaves us the following on which to build for next season: Balogh Neilson McGowan Jonsson Wallace Driver Black Stewart Obua Glen Nade
